Speaking of Christian Eriksen, if he finds the net he will overtake Nicklas Bendtner as the highest-scoring Dane in Premier League history with 33 goals.

Harry Kane had some joy getting in-between defenders against Borussia Dortmund in midweek and it's clear Mauricio Pochettino wants to see more of that as Dele Alli's attempt to squeeze through two Swansea players earns the host a free-kick. Christian Eriksen takes it but fails to trouble the visitors' goal.

This might not be the best game to judge Renato Sanches on because it doesn't look like he's going to see too much of the ball.

He has played one lovely searching pass through the Tottenham midfield to start the move which has created their only chance of the game so far and it took a good sliding challenge from Moussa Sissoko to prevent Tom Carroll getting his shot on target.

Federico Fernandez heads behind a cross with Son Heung-min waiting to pounce right behind him. Vital clearance.

Son and Kieran Trippier are playing high up the pitch, leaving plenty of space on the flanks for Swansea to exploit on the counter.

Paul Duffield: A win today plus again in the cup on Tuesday will go a long way to getting rid of the Wembley hoodoo talk.

    Tottenham 0-0 Swansea

A moment of concern for Tottenham as Davinson Sanchez is brushed far too easily off the ball by Tammy Abraham as Swansea counter. Abraham squares the ball for Tom Carroll inside the area but his effort is blocked.

Another free-kick just outside the area for Tottenham. It's towards the left side of the area and Eric Dier fancies it but fires well over.

Despite some nice moves by Tottenham, this one has yet to light up.

Renato Sanches has shown already he has the strength to bring the ball down and play in his teammates.

There needs to be a lot more movement from Swansea when they have the ball.

Renato Sanches is Swansea's outlet to hold the ball up and relieve some pressure on the visitors' defence. A bit of a thankless task but one he is doing quite well so far.

Spurs are threatening to overwhelm Swansea here in the early stages with the visitors barely able to get out of their half.

Lukasz Fabianski has already had to make two good saves, the first low to his left from a long-range Harry Kane free-kick and the second was to deny Son at his near-post which would have been an identical goal to the one he scored against Dortmund.

Lovely, lovely football from Tottenham. Intricate passes between Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min ends with the latter scooping an effort from the edge of the box over the bar.

The move deserved a better finish.

Son Heung-min floats a ball into the area aiming for Harry Kane, but the ball sails over his head and through to Lukasz Fabianski.

    Very quiet now at Wembley.

Tottenham have an impressive record against Swansea in the Premier League with 10 wins and two draws. That record is possibly on Paul Clement's mind with the way he has set his side up, packing the midfield with five players.

The pressure is building on Swansea.

I wasn't a fan of Song Heung-min at left-wing back in the FA Cup semi-final last season but he's looking good so far in a similar position. He gets into a dangerous position inside the box but his shot is denied by Lukasz Fabianski.

That was a smart save from Lukasz Fabianski. It was a good effort from Harry Kane. It was always dipping and it was awkward for the keeper.

    Good effort.

Spurs win a free kick, central and 25 yards from goal. Harry Kane territory.

The striker hits it well and the ball bends towards the bottom corner but Lukasz Fabianski dives across to push behind. Good save.

Dele Alli cleverly flicks a pass for Christian Eriksen, who quickly releases Son Heung-min but there's too much pace on the ball and it runs behind for a goal kick.

The Tottenham attackers are just starting to tune into each other, though.

It's good early pressure from Tottenham. Swansea are sat off and are just trying to be compact.

They will try and get out and press when they can but it will be difficult to keep that shape against this Tottenham team.

First effort on goal as Dele Alli volleys well wide from the edge of the box.

Swansea are looking to set a record of four consecutive top flight clean sheets away from home. More shooting like that will give them confidence.

I'm looking forward to seeing Renato Sanches play. This is the first time I've seen Swansea since he signed.

At the moment, it's all Tottenham, who are just getting a feel for where the spaces are against the visitors.
