  1. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Huddersfield 0-1 Tottenham

That goal is a bit of shame for Huddersfield who actually looked most likely to score in the moments leading up to the opener.

Of course, they've also looked most likely to make a mistake.

You don't make that kind of error with Harry sniffing.

  2. goal

GOAL - Huddersfield 0-1 Tottenhampublished at 9 mins

    Harry Kane

He's good at this goalscoring business isn't he?

Harry Kane scores his billionth Premier League goal in eight games, I think.

Huddersfield's Chris Lowe fails to clear Kieran Trippier's header and the ball arrives at the feet of Kane. The England striker then appears to gently stroll into the area before slotting his shot past Jonas Lossl.

    Assist? Trippier.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Tottenham

Much needed block from Eric Dier to deny Rajiv van la Parra from testing Hugo Lloris again.

Great pressure from the home side after that little Spurs flurry.

Swansea City's Sam Clucas was on Football Focus earlier discussing his interesting, if unusual, route into the top flight.

He said: "At one point I worked at Debenhams at weekends. It was strange

"I was playing football for the college team and county team but once you're outside the football bubble it's hard to break back in.

"I went to the Glenn Hoddle academy and that gave me confidence.

"I managed to get a chance back in the game at Hereford and after that the rest is history."

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 6 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Tottenham

    What a strike!

Tommy Smith lets rip from 25 yards and forces a good punchy save from France's Hugo Lloris.

First shot from Hudds forces the first great save.

    Lively!

    Huddersfield 0-0 Tottenham

Huddersfield clear again. Good defending by the men in blue and white.

However, they concede a free-kick as Zanka goes through Kane.

Once again Spurs fail to make the most of a ball lofted into the area.

    There's a pattern emerging here...

He nearly scored in the first minute!

Harry Kane twists and turns in the home area but his shot goes out for a corner.

    The corner comes to nowt.

But they win another seconds later.

    • The Terriers have kept four clean sheets in six league games. They are the first newly-promoted side to achieve this since Blackburn Rovers in 1992.
    • If they keep a clean sheet against Spurs they will equal the top-flight record for the fewest goals conceded by a promoted club after seven games.

Tottenham fans travelling to Huddersfield will see a bit of history: their club's first ever game at the John Smith's Stadium.

Few, if any, will recall Spurs' last win in the town of Huddersfield in 1954, and surely none of those Tottenham travellers will have been around when their side recorded their only other victory on Huddersfield soil in 1924.

The Terriers are unlikely to roll over this time either; only the two Manchester clubs have conceded fewer league goals so far.

However, Harry Kane is likely to seriously test that stubborn defence. The striker goes into the last day of September with 11 goals in the calendar month for club and country.

Kane was at Spurs as a youngster when I was there, and I never saw it coming, it's a massive shock in my career. John Bostock, Ryan Mason, Dean Parrett, they were being talked about as destined to be great players at Spurs but not Kane. He didn't even start too many games out on loan but sheer persistence got him into the team. He was relentless. He is an animal, he is a real athlete now.

I can't pick a fault in Harry Kane's game. The art of putting the ball in the back of the net is underestimated and he does that better than anyone. We are still waiting for him to hit the ground running for England but that's about all you could say. He is world class, he is the bracket of Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani.
