West Ham were narrow 1-0 winners in this fixture 12 months ago and we can expect a keenly-fought encounter this weekend in front of a noisy full house at Selhurst Park.

Wednesday's Carabao Cup comeback win at Wembley over Tottenham was a major boost for the Hammers and their beleaguered manager Slaven Bilic, but it won't mean much if they slip up again here.

Palace saw off the champions Chelsea, and deservedly so, in their last home match. If they can play to that level on something like a consistent basis, they'll soon start moving up the table.

Arsenal may have needed extra-time to see off Norwich in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday but it has not been a bad week for the Gunners, who rose back into the top five last weekend.

A home game against struggling Swansea looks like a straightforward fixture on paper, especially given that Arsenal have won their last nine league games at the Emirates - yet Swansea can take heart from having claimed 10 points from six previous Premier League visits.

We're entering into a crucial part of the season for Arsenal, with a trip Manchester City next week followed by the north London derby against Tottenham, so they cannot afford another slip up against their Emirates bogey side in what will be Arsene Wenger's 800th Premier League game.

You might think that because he had done his knee ligaments you might not be hearing from Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy in a while.

Well, you can't keep him quiet that easily.

He is writing a weekly column for the Times, external charting his recovery.

Apparently the Manchester City Whatsapp group is helping keep his spirits up.

"Everyone is going back and forth at each other. Nobody is safe! It’s nonstop! Kyle Walker, me, Bernardo Silva, everyone is gunning for each other," he writes

"I trained Bernardo to be relaxed and funny. He used to be such a shy person! The other day he put Walker’s face over a Walkers crisp packet!".

Is this the hardest game of the day to call? Crystal Palace with three points and one win all season, albeit against Chelsea, against West Ham with two League wins to their name.

How significant will Wednesday night's win at Tottenham be for West Ham? Can Slaven Bilic afford to lose? Will we see the Palace team which beat Chelsea or the one which lost at Bristol City? All will be revealed from 15:00 BST, with updates on BBC Radio 5 live.

It's Wenger's 800th Premier League match as a manager today - 10 shy of the record set by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Tottenham fans won't have been the only ones disappointed by that late Manchester United winner. Manchester City supporters will have also been rubbing their hands at the prospect of shared points, because a draw at Old Trafford would have given Pep's men the chance to go seven points clear at the top.

As it is, they will only (?!) reestablish a five-point lead with a win in the West Midlands.

United fans - and many neutrals - will be hoping the Baggies can rein them in.

West Brom v Man CityImage source, BBC Sport

Manchester City arrive at The Hawthorns today with the best attack (32 goals) and joint best defence in the league (only conceded four).

They also remain unbeaten this season. In fact, the last time they lost a match in the league was away to Chelsea in April.

This time last year, almost to the day, City turned up and put four past this West Brom side. Guardiola will be looking for more of the same today.

As for Tony Pulis, the season started so well for West Brom with back-to-back wins. But they haven’t won in the league since then.

Reading the local paper this morning you get the feeling the crowd is starting to turn and the fans are fed up with his style of football.

But Pulis has been here before and the fact they finished eighth last season would suggest he has credit in the bag from the owners to keep him in a job regardless of the result.

"I'm no clown I won't back down, I don't need you to tell me what's going down..."

I can just imagine Tony Pulis singing along to Stone Roses classic 'Fools Gold' as it blasts over The Hawthorns PA system.

TP might have a fractious relationship with the Albion fans, but his record over the years certainly proves he knows what he is doing.

A first league win over City since December 2008 will certainly get the home fans doing some Baggies dancing.

Watford make two changes to the side that lost 4-2 at Chelsea last weekend, with Andre Carrillo replacing playmaker Roberto Pereyra who has a minor hamstring injury.

In the other change, Etienne Capoue starts in place of Adrian Mariappa who is on the bench.

Defenders Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl are not yet ready to return, while Isaac Success, Nathaniel Chalobah and Craig Cathcart remain long-term absentees.

It feels like we’re in a holding stage with Arsenal, are Sanchez, Ozil and Giroud going? They are wallowing in the riches they have amassed in the Premier League years, but I’d like to see a bit more ambition.

They’re not going to win the Premier League this year.

    Arsenal v Swansea (15:00 BST)

Arsenal have stuck with the team who beat Everton 5-2 in the Premier League last Sunday. The front three of Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez will seek to repeat the damage they inflicted at Goodison Park six days ago, when they played together as a trio for the first time and all scored. Per Mertesacker continues in central defence as Shkodran Mustafi recovers from a thigh injury.

Arsenal XI: Cech; Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac; Ozil, Sanchez; Lacazette. Substitutes: Macey, Holding, Coquelin, Wilshere, Iwobi, Walcot, Giroud.

Swansea switch to a back three today, with Mike van der Hoorn coming in alongside Federico Fernandez and Alfie Mawson. That is one of four changes to the team beaten at home by Leicester last Saturday; Ki Sung-yueng and Leroy Fer come into midfield, while Sam Clucas is the left wing-back, as Martin Olsson has a hamstring injury.

Swansea XI: Fabianski; Van de Hoorn, Fernandez, Mawson; Naughton, Ki, Fer, Carroll, Clucas; Abraham, Ayew. Substitutes: Nordfeldt, Rodon, Roque Mesa, Routledge, Narsingh, Dyer, McBurnie.

    Liverpool v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

    Gary Lineker
Ex-England striker on The Premier League Show

Huddersfield boss David Wagner says it is going to be very strange to have his best friend Jurgen Klopp right beside him on the touchline and at the same time be competing against him.

He laughed when I pointed out Huddersfield could go above Liverpool in the table if they beat them and admitted he had not really thought about that scenario when the fixtures came out.

I don't think anyone did, but the fact it could happen shows what a good job Wagner is doing - something we saw more evidence of when his side beat Manchester United last week.
