Watch this goal on Match of the Day tonight! The ball is popped between four City players right on the edge of the box, then suddenly Silva plays in Jesus. It is simply exquisite football.

Think about it as the sort of thing you'll play in 5-a-side. Except this is being executed at the top level. I've never quite seen anything like it.

David Silva blazes over from the edge of the area and he has to at least hit the target.

City are wasting these. That was a real opening - fashioned by Raheem Sterling's run in the box.

Every time Leroy Sane is there. Waiting. On the left wing he just seems to drift into space that Danny Simpson surely must not realise he's letting go. This time Sane's cross pings off Simpson's boot and behind for a City corner.

Raheem Sterling then slices over the top with an effort from the edge of the box.

Fabian Delph again does brilliantly to win the ball back for City.

But then Leroy Sane and David Silva baffle each other as they try to work an opening in the box.

Approaching the break now... City will feel they ought to be ahead. They've let themselves down in the danger zone.

Eliaquim Mangala unconvincingly heads away Leicester's first corner of the match and City break - this is really end-to-end.

The away side force a corner of their own which is cleared, then Fernandinho slices terribly and the ball runs out of play.

Fabian Delph again stands up well to Riyad Mahrez. City launch it over the top to Kevin de Bruyne and his outside-of-the-boot ball into the box smashes into Harry Maguire's arms.

The ref waves it away, but City want a penalty. Perhaps would have been a bit harsh? Maguire couldn't exactly get out of the way, and it bounced up off his stomach...

Mangala is on for Stones. It's his 50th Premier League appearance. When was the last time he and Vincent Kompany lined up together.

Yep, Eliaquim Mangala is getting ready to come on and replace him.

Stones was chasing a through ball over the top - which Ederson dealt with - and pulled up sharply holding the back of his thigh. He's in pain.

Leroy Sane is in space again... But this time he mis-controls Kevin de Bruyne's diagonal lofted pass.

Pep Guardiola's beginning to look anxious. He clearly feels his side should be ahead.

Again, it's a fantastic move from City. But again, they can't quite finish it off.

Leroy Sane - he has been excellent so far today, always dangerous - is once more found bursting into space down the left wing, but his firm, head-height cross just has too much pace on it for Raheem Sterling to connect, even with the England man launching himself at the far post.

Leicester have started OK, but look like they're on borrowed time now.

Beautiful stuff from City. One-touch, patient build-up leads to Leroy Sane picking out David Silva just inside the box, and his first-time strike is tipped smartly over the bar by Kasper Schmeichel.

David Silva finds Leroy Sane again in loads of space down the left - but this time the Germany international's delivery is poor. Really poor. It skews off and away for a Leicester goal kick. Terrible mis-hit.

Leicester zoom up the other end and Fabian Delph makes a stellar sliding tackle to steal the ball from Riyad Mahrez.
