On the verge of half time.

For once, Manuel Lanzini gets his delivery from the corner spot on, swinging a cross into the six yard box.

Cheikhou Kouyate is the man who nods it towards goal, it comes off the shoulder of Danny Simpson and lands in the net.

Can West Ham nick one from the corner?

  3. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    West Ham 0-1 Leicester

This is gorgeous football from Leicester.

Midfielder Vicente Iborra, who stands at 6ft 3in, has the touch of a David Silva, clipping a delightful, flat pass to Jamie Vardy.

The striker turns inside and attempts a curler towards the far post, but cannot get enough bend on the ball.

The Austrian manages to dig out a cross from the byeline, but Danny Simpson does well to head the ball away.

That's a brilliant cross by Aaron Cresswell and Cheikhou Kouyate should do better. These are the moments...

West Ham are creating opportunities but they can't score.

Ahh, come on, should be doing better.

A lovely curled cross into the box by full-back Aaron Cresswell is met by the head of Cheikhou Kouyate with a free header, but the West Ham midfielder cannot get enough contact on the ball and it rolls out of play.

    Poor from the big man.

I'm not sure why everyone is so certain West Ham will be relegated this season under David Moyes. I could easily see him getting sacked before he has the chance to take them down.

Riyad Mahrez has recovered from that earlier incident and finds the ball at his feet again.

The Algerian dances left and right, the West Ham players are having to play to his tune.

He feeds the ball to Jamie Vardy down the left-hand side of the box, but no Foxes player can get on the end of his cutback into the six yard box.

The ball is in the air, there to be won and West ham's Cheikhou Kouyate gets onto it first.

Seconds later he is flattened by Leicester skipper Wes Morgan.

That must feel like you've been hit by a truck. A hefty knock.

First proper piece of work Kasper Schmeichel has had to do in this game.

West Ham get a free-kick which Manuel Lanzini swings dangerously into the box, Angelo Ogbonna flicks it on towards the back post but the Leicester goalkeeper sprawls low to his left to push the ball away.

    It was sneaking in.

It was worth asking the question from Marc Albrighton's situation. It's shoulder to shoulder but it wasn't a penalty.

    West Ham 0-1 Leicester

Brilliant defending from Marko Arnautovic, you don't say that too often.

The Austrian has had a lot of stick for his performances for West Ham this season, but saves a goal for his team by tracking back and winning the ball off Jamie Vardy in the area.

The Leicester striker had been put through on goal and was about to pull the trigger before Arnautovic got back in the nick of time.

The West Ham man comes across and makes a clumsy challenge but referee Martin Atkinson waves play on.

    Could have been given.

    West Ham 0-1 Leicester

West Ham playmaker Manuel Lanzini has contributed zero assists so far in the league this season and you can see why.

The Argentine has time and space on the left flank, but his cross towards Andy Carroll is way too long and straight into the hands of Kasper Schmeichel.
