Leicester boss Claude Puel, speaking to Match of the Day: "I think of course it is always difficult to finish this game because there was a lot of pressure for my team but it was a fantastic game for us.

"It was important for me to see my players playing with this quality. The first 30 minutes were very amazing but after that it was important to keep the result with solidity and desire and in the end it was fantastic work by the team to get this result.

"Next we play Burnley, it is a difficult game and it will be important to give a good response."

Up into the top half, pleased? "It is not crucial for the moment, it is important to take the points. We were a bit frustrated about our game with Stoke and West Ham because we had opportunities to score more. This is better because it is good for the confidence of the players for the future."

  2. 'I saw the space in front of me'published at 22:05 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2017

    Watford 2-4 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Jesse Lingard speaking after the game: "I saw the space open up in front of me and just went for it. Anything can happen in football, so when we conceded we just tried to keep our composure, and then, we tried to do the same when we went ahead again."

Ashley Young added: "Of course it's always nice to get on the scoresheet, especially when you haven't been on it for a while like me. I tried to get on it the other day, and I couldn't claim it in the end, but i'll definitely be claiming those two. At the end of the day it was just important to get the three points, so we're pleased to do that."

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Match of the Day: "We did not play in the way we normally play. The first half was a poor performance and it was difficult after that to get back into the game.

"We feel very disappointed in our performance. We started the game not in the right way and we conceded the opportunity to them to score. At 2-0 down it is difficult. We need to improve the way we start. It happened against West Brom and Borussia Dortmund."

On late penalty appeal: "I don't know. I said last week I don't want to speak anymore about the decision of the referee."

On Erik Lamela's return: "His quality will be important for us in the future. I am happy for him to play 15 minutes."

That's four home draws already for Brighton. They need to start turning those into wins.

  5. 'It was a nervous game'published at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2017

Brighton manager Chris Hughton: "We have to ask did we play well enough to win the game? Probably not. But neither did they. So it's a fair result.

"We had some good opportunities but the longer it went on, the way it went it was going to be a stalemate, and you felt maybe it would be a set-piece or a mistake that would settle it.

"It was a nervous game and didn't have the flow. Maybe not the style that you would expect a derby to have. Palace have a lot of ability in the final third, so if you do not play well enough you have to make sure you don't lose it."

It was a brilliant goal from Jesse Lingard, a wonderful individual goal. United showed some different qualities in the game tonight, being clinical, being resolute, dropping off, and they looked defensively solid. I think they can go into the big games against Arsenal and Man City with a lot of confidence now, but will Jose Mourinho risk playing five at the back against the bigger teams?

  7. 'Still a work in progress'published at 21:55 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2017

    Leicester 2-1 Tottenham

    Leicester City

Jamie Vardy, speaking to Match of the Day: "It is about time me and Mahrez both got on the scoresheet in the same game and to get the win is a bonus."

On Tottenham's late penalty appeal: "It would have been heartbreaking, you couldn't see it from the bench, their bench didn't react and the referee didn't give it.

"Things are going good. The manager says we are still a work in progress and we agree with that. We just have to keep working hard for him. We look forward to Burnley on Saturday."

  8. 'Was it worth the wait?'published at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Wise
    BBC Radio 5 live

Four and a half years on from Brighton & Palace's last meeting, some may argue it wasn't worth the wait. A classic case of hype outweighing spectacle.

Aside from still being at the foot of the Premier League table in December, Palace's problem undoubtedly lies away from Selhurst. No away goal at this stage of the season is alarming.

I despair. Llorente the latest in a long line of Spurs expensive buys that can't score. Harry Kane - I'm your biggest fan but I think you should cash in on your talent now and seek a big move rather than flogging your guts out for nothing. Spurs will not win anything for forseeable future

  10. 'A clean sheet was important'published at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2017

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson said: "To be fair they are flying high. It's a derby game. A clean sheet is good because we haven't had too many of those. We had some good spells and a draw is a fair result. Keeping a clean sheet is a bigger bonus that a 1-1 or 2-2.

"Both teams tried to play the game they wanted to play. Chris and myself made it a clear that it was a game played in the head not the heart. It wasn't going to be a rumbustious game with people flying into each other. That's not the way either side play. We will take a lot of confidence.

"Christian Benteke did well for us. He is still feeling his way after such a long layoff. We hope he will get stronger and stronger and hopefully the team will be more clinical in the final third."

Romelu Lukaku has worked tirelessly, as a manager if your striker's not scoring for you, you've got to look at what else they bring to the team. And tonight, Lukaku has brought a lot, he's worked tirelessly.

The Watford fans on the back row of the stand next to me have been through it.

When their team's second goal went in, they were on their feet cheering and urging their team on, seriously thinking they were going to get a third.

Within a minute one of them was kicking the wall of the stand in frustration as the visitors were celebrating their fourth.

It's the hope that kills you.
