Paul Pogba's a match winner, he's a world class player, that bit of difference in United's team. He's got all the ability but they'll bring someone else in. They did struggle a bit when he was out of the team injured. He sees that killer pass and he opens things up for United.

Pogba will miss the Manchester Derby following his red card against Arsenal

  4. Pellegrino versus the media (on the pitch)published at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Bournemouth v Southampton (13:30 GMT)

Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino decided to hold a press conference with a difference during the international break last month.

Pellegrino, who took over at St Mary's at the start of this season, invited members of the media to play a match against himself and his coaching staff at the club's training ground.

BBC South Today's Tony Husband was among those on the Media XI and took time to chat to Pellegrino before and after the game.

It was a bizarre scene in midweek.

And Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he now regrets his animated post-match discussion with Southampton's Nathan Redmond after Wednesday's 2-1 win.

Guardiola, who walked onto the pitch and remonstrated with the Saints winger, has been asked to explain his actions by the Football Association.

Redmond has since said the Spaniard was "only very complimentary and positive".

On Friday, Guardiola said: "I cannot control myself. I have to do that, hopefully I can improve."

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has been given until Monday to respond to the FA.

He's the best goalie in the world at the moment, some of the saves were incredible. How does Jesse Lingard get man of the match? De Gea has kept them in the game.

Arsenal probably would have won if it wasn't for De Gea. He's been linked with Real Madrid, the last couple of seasons. It'll be interesting to see if they can keep him.

Some of the saves De Gea made, I was off my seat already thinking Arsenal had scored. Arsenal had 33 attempts and against Manchester United as well. That is unheard of.

While both of these teams were on the end of midweek defeats, there were differing moods in the aftermath of them.

Eddie Howe admitted being very disappointed with Bournemouth's performance against Burnley, while Mauricio Pellegrino was understandably proud of his players for coming so close to stopping the Manchester City juggernaut.

Nathan Redmond revealed his post-match "Pep" talk on Wednesday revolved around a desire from Guardiola to see him attacking more - something Saints fans have wanted from the team generally this season.

I'm sure they'll be more adventurous at the Vitality Stadium, where Howe's hoping the derby atmosphere can help get the Cherries going again.

    Stoke City 2-1 Swansea City

Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer said: "Joe Allen was at the heart of everything good for Stoke, and he dominated the midfield. I thought he was absolutely fantastic, and didn't mind doing the dirty stuff either."

Ian Wright added: "For Swansea to only have 27 shots in 15 matches, it is like they are not even training with the goals."

  20. 'You just can't turn up in the big games'published at 12:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Watford 1-1 Tottenham

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle striker on BBC Match of the Day

I didn't think the referee (Martin Atkinson) was decent at all. I don't think it was a penalty on Richarlison, but the referee gave a red card (to Davinson Sanchez), which I think is slightly harsh. Sanchez has not thrown his elbow out.

It is alright playing in the glory games like against Real Madrid, but in the Premier League, Tottenham are starting the games so slowly.

They are missing Toby Alderweireld but that is not an excuse for the way they are starting the games. I thought Dele Alli was poor, sloppy.

From a Spurs point of view you just can't turn up in the big games, you have to turn up against the smaller teams and that is why Tottenham will not win the league.
