  1. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

The Magpies survive, but their defence looks a shambles again.

On this occasion, Arsenal-man Hector Bellerin almost makes them pay with a shot from 10 yards that is deflected behind for a corner.

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger at Stamford Bridge for 5 live Sport

Champions League football is everything for Chelsea now, Man United are only a few points ahead of Chelsea, so normally you'd feel they're still in it - but man City have really run away with it so far this season.

    Elias Kachunga

This won't be a goal of the month contender.

The Terriers win a corner on the right. After an almighty scramble in the area, Elias Kachunga pokes in from about a yard.

Pretty, it ain't but Hudds boss David Wagner won't care.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

The hosts have dominated possession so far, and are trying to exert authority on the game by getting it out wide to Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses.

Saints have kept just one clean sheet against Chelsea in their last 24 league games.

  5. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    Well now.

Gunners keeper Petr Cech is forced to push away a Jamaal Lascelles header.

The Magpies defender is pretty dangerous in the air from set-pieces.

Newcastle have a couple of corners but nothing comes from them.

  6. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

It's a bitty opening at the Amex, with a strange free-kick added into the mix.

Burnley earn the set-piece deep in their own half. Ben Mee looks like he's taken it with a pass straight back to keeper Nick Pope, but apparently he hasn't. Pope is now lining it up to punt it down the pitch.

    Bizarre.

  16. 'Newcastle missed a trick in the summer'published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

I worry a little bit for Newcastle. The goals situation is a problem. They brought in Joselu to score goals.

I think they overachieved earlier this season. If you go through the players, they’re a Championship side. Where they were in the league until recently was astonishing. It’s going to be very tight.

The takeover is so important. The frustration is starting to build but it’s focused at Mike Ashley.

A new striker is definitely top of the list. When they came up, they missed a trick. Charlie Austin was sat on the bench at Southampton, they could have probed around. Kelechi Iheanacho went to Leicester. There’s players to go and get.

Maybe they need another defender. They need to look at a couple of position to give themselves a fighting chance.
