    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

    Pat Nevin

That's three occasions now that Chelsea have had three shots that have had deflections. Southampton are sitting so deep, it means that if Chelsea can keep peppering the goal, eventually one of those deflections is going to find the net. Southampton need to push up.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

Pedro off the post! The Chelsea forward attempts to fire home but fails to sneak the ball past Fraser Forster.

Stoke City v West Ham (16:00 GMT)

A reminder that Stoke v West Ham will get under way at 16:00 GMT which is a change to the advertised scheduling of 15:00 GMT.

That's because the Bet 365 stadium had an issue with the lack of electricity which during GMT days is a tad bit of a problem.

Dave: Surely if Peter Crouch gets on his tip-toes he can just reach for the sun and lower it so its just over the stadium?

It's too hot Dave, and also impossible.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

To be honest it hasn't been great, this game. We haven't had to raise our voices at all, it's a dull atmosphere at Stamford Bridge today, and if either manager wants to get three points they need to change something.

    Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle under the cosh.

Goalscorer Mesut Ozil plays a one-two with Alexandre Lacazette and tries to dink his shot over keeper Rob Elliot, on the angle, from two yards out - the Newcastle keeper swipes away.

There's another goal in this... for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Issac Hayden - ex of Arsenal - goes into the book for a foul on Jack Wilshere.

  11. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

    Oh my. That was terrible!

Glenn Murray sticks his spot-kick over the bar. The Brighton striker is not happy with himself.

You could argue it was a bit of a soft decision in the first place. Murray appeared to hook his own leg around Tarkowski's, so the Burnley defender didn't do much wrong.

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Glenn Murray has another decent chance for Brighton. It's blocked and cleared, much to Burnley's relief.

They've dealt well with the recent onslaught from the Seagulls.

Willian is every where! This time he's wiggled free on the byeline and set-up Marcos Alonso, and his shot is saved well by Southampton keeper Fraser Forster.

  15. RED CARD FOR DEENEYpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Watford 0-2 Huddersfield

    Not another one?!

Watford have a man sent off for the third game in succession - this time it's skipper Troy Deeney.

Ref Michael Oliver took offence to the scything attempt to win the ball from Collin Quaner.

A straight red? You decide by watching Match of the Day on BBC One at 22:20 GMT.

Good day for Watford so far.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger at Stamford Bridge for 5 live Sport

Ryan Bertrand has done brilliantly to get back and block Willian's effort then. At first viewing it looked good, but looking at the replay it is magnificent defending from Bertrand - he's had to cover 30 or 40 yards to get there.

  17. If anyone can...published at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

Granit Xhaka who, like Ozil, can hit one, sends a daisycutter across the Emirates turf from about 25 yards out, but it flies marginally wide of Rob Elliot's left-hand upright.

All about keeping the scoreline respectable eh Newcastle?

  18. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Eden Hazard has acres of space on the left and races clear before spinning the ball across the box.

It reaches Willian, but the Chelsea forward can only air-kick as Saints' Ryan Bertrand has tracked back to make a brilliant and perfectly-timed tackle.

  19. Chelsea have a problempublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger at Stamford Bridge for 5 live Sport

The real problem Chelsea have at the moment is that without Alvaro Morata there's no one to get balls in the box to - without him there's no real height for them. So, they're having to play it into feet every time and Southampton are dealing with it well at the moment.

  20. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Fraser Forster has had plenty to do in the last few minutes.

The Southampton keeper is sent into action, stretching out to his right to stop N'Golo Kante's effort.
