Leicester are struggling to pick up any second balls, Palace are doing really well to sweep everything up - they're playing quite narrow at the moment - and it's working for them.

Roy Hodgson is standing on the touchline, barking out the orders to his men.

He may be the oldest manager in the Premier League, but you cannot fault the 70 year old's passion.

I'd rather be on my armchair, tucked up in my tartan blanket, eating a pack of biscuits at that age.

Palace have been brilliant so far. It's just that final third where they're struggling, but overall their play and their movement going forward has been excellent.

Roy Hodgson's Palace are playing some scintillating football, they were supposed to be doing that under Frank de Boer.

On loan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek interchanges passes with Wilfried Zaha and turns inside of Harry Maguire on the edge of the box, but his low shot is pushed away by Kasper Schmeichel.

Crystal Palace have been poor away from home this season so that explains why there are so many empty seats in the away end. Those who have made the journey are in good voice and Palace have started well. The South London clubs record of no away goal this season has to come to an end at some point.

The nuisance Jamie Vardy causing problems for the Palace backline, chasing down a ball into the corner which has to be cleared for a corner by James Tomkins.

Marc 'Sinton' Albrighton whips the delivery in, but lumbering centre-back Harry Maguire cannot get enough purchase on the header.

Palace have started unbelievably well, high tempo, really high up the field. What a bit of play from Jeffrey Schlupp, and Christian Benteke has to score! He's just got to get something on it there.

They've actually pushed Leicester back, and the home side seem pretty happy for Palace to have a lot of the ball at the moment.

Wilfried Zaha has made a real difference for Crystal Palace this season - especially in the last 10 or 15 minutes - he's prepared to take the ball and run at defenders. He's become their talisman, and he's really taken it in his stride. At the moment Roy Hodgson will be absolutely delighted with him.

Crystal Palace talisman Wilfred Zaha getting on the ball for the first time down the left.

He teases Wilfred Ndidi but the cross is blocked.

Leicester fail to clear their lines and former Foxes full-back Jeffrey Schlupp picks up the ball in the area, but his cross-shot evades striker Christian Benteke and rolls past the far post.

Just needed a touch from someone, anyone for the opener there.

I cannot reveal my sources, but I have just been told that Yohan Cabaye is on penalty duty for Crystal Palace this afternoon in the absence of Luka Milivojevic.

Well, that is the plan anyway. I wonder if Christian Benteke would fancy it if Cabaye has to go off beforehand?

Wilfried Zaha has been given a free role behind Christian Benteke - to try and get him on the ball as much as possible - and it's been really working for Palace of late.

The first challenge of the game sees Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel spin through the air and hit the deck.

Palace play a long ball forward and the Foxes number one dashes off his line to head the ball to safety, but in comes visiting striker Christian Benteke with a late shove, sending Schmeichel airborne.

To the Dane's credit, he does not make a meal of it and pops back up straight away.

May have done Benteke a favour there, no booking from referee Martin Atkinson.

Claude Puel has got Riyad Mahrez playing well, Jamie Vardy too, and I think Leicester will finish seventh this season. I think he's a very good manager, and he got a bit of a raw deal at Southampton.

Leicester v Crystal Palace (12:30 GMT)

    Martin Fisher
    Match of the Day commentator

For so long marooned at the foot of the table, Crystal Palace could actually climb out of the relegation zone this weekend. An unbeaten run of six games has lifted them off the bottom rung and within touching distance of those above the dotted line.

Roy Hodgson has even improved them on the road with successive draws at Brighton and West Brom, but they still haven't managed an away league goal and now face a Leicester side rejuvenated under Claude Puel.

In the relegation zone themselves just two months ago, the Foxes have won their last four in a row with Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy et al back to their explosive best.

So the Eagles might not be about to fly out of the bottom three just yet.
