The last time they did it was when Louis van Gaal was in charge, in November 2015.

They are running out of time to halt the sequence after dropping points against Leicester and Burnley already during the Christmas period.

As defensive minded as Jose Mourinho is, he can't go out to his players and say 'don't attack'. He must be giving them instructions on what to do in the final third, but nothing's being implemented by their attackers - they need to take some responsibility too.

The transfer window opens on Monday and, as I said earlier, there are clubs interested, if Manchester United are willing to sell for the right price.

This might be the death rattle of Henrikh Mkhitaryan's Manchester United career.

The Armenian slices into the stands from a good crossing position. The groans and grumbles were loud and long from the Stretford End.

Jesse Lingard slides in to try and block Jack Stephens' clearance, getting a snip of the ball and some of the man.

Craig Pawson decides it warrants yellow. Lingard disagrees strongly.

Johnny Magrinho: Man Utd have more than enough quality to get the goals needed for the 3 points today - they’re just not clicking. All of Jose’s negativity perhaps rubbing off onto his players? Can’t be helping anything surely.

By the way, Ashley Young has got away with what looks a pretty deliberate elbow into the stomach of Dusan Tadic at a corner.

The replay looked pretty damning and we may hear more about that.

Manchester United keep putting high balls into the box - Romelu Lukaku isn't on the pitch, Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn't on the pitch - so there's no-one to attack these balls. United have to change their way of thinking here, if they don't they aren't going to get anything out of this match.
