James Burke: If Sunderland are sick Villa must be on a life support machine.

It's still goalless between Aston Villa and Middlesbrough with a couple of minutes to go.

    Barnsley 3-2 Derby

Meanwhile, a late Adam Hammill goal appears to have sent Barnsley through to a third-round tie at Wembley against Spurs, as it stands.

There it is! QPR level. After intense pressure from the hosts, Matt Smith finally drills in low, left-footed from close range and it's 2-2.

Millwall have been playing with 10 men since Lee Gregory's dismissal in the 41st minute.

    QPR 1-2 Millwall

Can QPR complete their comeback against the 10 men of Millwall? They're giving it a real go, but goalscorer Massimo Luongo fires just wide. They've got around five minutes left plus stoppage time.

  5. goal

GOAL: Wolves 3-3 Bristol Citypublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Danny Batth (85 mins)

    THREE THREE!

It's an absolutely bonkers game at Molineux.

Wolves captain Danny Batth rises high to meet Ben Marshall's corner and powers his header into the corner of the net.

    Madness.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Middlesbrough

I've just seen a replay from a few minutes ago when Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan blocked team-mate Conor Hourihane's goalbound effort on the line.

Hogan has endured a pretty unlucky start to his Villa career it should be said.

  7. goal

GOAL: Sunderland 0-1 Nottingham Forestpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Daryl Murphy (86 mins)

Oh my word, Nottingham Forest are in front with their second shot on target.

Republic of Ireland striker Daryl Murphy finds some room in the box and slots into the bottom corner.

It's been all Sunderland, but they trail. The pressure mounts on Simon Grayson.

    Norwich 0-0 Burton

Norwich are having a real go tonight but Burton are not giving up.

Can the Brewers hang on for a point?

  9. goal

GOAL: Wolves 2-3 Bristol Citypublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Bobby Reid (82 mins)

You have got to be kidding me?! Bristol City are in front!

Aden Flint flicks on a corner to Matty Taylor who hits the post, but Bobby Reid is on hand to poke home.

    Wow.

  10. League Two updatepublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Exeter could be heading for their first loss of the season in League Two.

They trail 1-0 at Barnet after Shaquile Coulthirst's 48th-minute effort, but they didn't kick-off untill 20:00 BST so there's still a bit of time left for things to change there.

Elsewhere, Morecambe have come back from 2-0 down at Yeovil to be level at 2-2 as they enter the final eight minutes or so around the grounds.

  11. Postpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Sunderland 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    It's just not Sunderland's night.

Jonny Williams fizzes a shot from 25 yards which sneaks just inches past the post.

There are less than 10 minutes for a winner at the Stadium of Light.

  12. League One updatepublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Oldham are going to collect their first three points of the season after Craig Davies put them 2-0 up at Bristol Rovers.

Elsewhere in League One, Wigan are now 2-0 up at Charlton, Northampton are 3-1 up at home to Portsmouth and Blackpool are 2-1 up at 10-man Plymouth.

  13. goal

GOAL: Preston 3-0 Cardiffpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Alan Browne (78 mins)

Wow, what an effort! Alan Browne hits it from way, way out. Game, set and match to Preston.

He catches the keeper off his line, and I'd guess the shot comes in from around 40 yards out, maybe fractionally more.

The keeper flaps at it but can't keep it out. Preston are having a night to remember.

Cardiff are having something of a 'back down to earth' moment.

  14. HITS THE BARpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Wolves 2-2 Bristol City

Oof, Wolves come so close to taking the lead.

Diogo Jota's half-volley from Leo Bonatini's knock down crashes back off the bar and bounces to safety.

Surely there's got to be another goal in this game? It's been fantastic so far. 15 minutes to go.

  15. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-2 MIllwallpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Massimo Luongo (73 mins)

Game on? Loftus Road believes again, as a corner comes in and is headed out only as far as Massimo Luongo, who volleys in low, in to the back of the net. It's the sort of strike that can lift the crowd!

  16. Postpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Leeds 1-0 Birmingham

Leeds are having to stand up in the face of some Birmingham pressure here.

Che Adams is causing the hosts problems.

A Blues leveller will mean Cardiff remain top of the Championship tonight.

  17. League One updatepublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Fleetwood, who were 2-0 up only to be pegged back to 2-2, are now 3-2 up against Bury thanks to Ashley Hunter.

The Cod Army will be sixth if they can hang on to their lead this time.

  18. goal

GOAL: Sheff Wed 2-1 Brentfordpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Ross Wallace (70 mins)

The Owls have come from behind to lead. Ross Wallace is there with the close-range finish after Brentford repeatedly fail to clear a corner. It's scrappy, but Wednesday won't care.

Elsewhere, Barnsley get back on terms against Derby in the EFL Cup, as Tom Bradshaw makes it 2-2 there.

  19. goal

GOAL: Preston 2-0 Cardiffpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Sean Maguire (70 mins)

Cardiff's unbeaten start to the season looks to be coming to an end here, as Sean Maguire holds off two defenders and beats the keeper at the near post.

Preston - unbeaten at home and with only one loss in the league so far - look decent tonight.

    QPR 0-2 Millwall

    QPR MillwallImage source, Rex Features

QPR, with an extra man, are dominating possession but so far just can't find a way back in to the game, as they're being frustrated by London rivals Millwall.

This scoreline would end Rangers' 100% winning start in home league games until now this season, having won three from three at Loftus Road before tonight.

For Millwall, it would be a first away win of 2017-18.
