  17. QPR "striving" for promotionpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    QPR v Millwall (19:45 BST)

Few people would have tipped QPR to be up near the top end of the table after only narrowly avoiding relegation last season, but their 2-1 victory over Ipswich on Saturday left them eighth in the early standings.

Forward Jamie Mackie is no stranger to promotion with the Rs, having reached the Premier League in his first spell with the club in 2011, and he feels Ian Holloway's current squad might be capable of repeating that feat.

"The hunger within the squad I can see really excites me," he told BBC Radio London.

"Massimo [Luongo] is one, and other players who are very similar to Massimo in terms of they want to get into the Premier League and they want to play at the highest level.

"That’s only a good thing for QPR if they can drag other players and this club in that direction then it’s a great thing. I feel there’s that hunger in the changing room again now."

    QPR v Millwall (19:45 BST)

It's been 18 months since Neil Harris stepped up from his job as a coach to replace Ian Holloway as Millwall manager.

Tonight marks the first meeting between the pair since Holloway took on his current role as manager of Queens Park Rangers, and Harris admitted that the "Ollie" factor will add a little extra to the occasion at Loftus Road tonight.

"It's a Millwall atmosphere at QPR. They're always good games to play in, QPR v Millwall, and then there's the added spice of Ollie being the manager," he told BBC Radio London.

"I've got a huge respect for what he's achieved in the game, had some great moments here as well.

"He left at a time when it wasn't going well for us, but we have to remember what he achieved the year before when he kept us in the division."
