  1. Goodbye and see you at 'Firhill'published at 22:42 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Next up for Celtic in the Champions League is away to Anderlecht, which they would have earmarked as their best chance to take points away from home.

Next up for us is a return to the Scottish Premiership on Friday, when there is a Glasgow derby to look forward to - Partick Thistle entertain Rangers at what they have, wait for it, catchily renamed "The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill".

  2. 'We played like under-12s' - Rodgerspublished at 22:38 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    FT: Celtic 0-5 Paris St-Germain

Celtic's heaviest home defeat in European competition leaves Brendan Rodgers' side bottom of Champions League Group B.

It is only one game into a six-match campaign, but is Rodgers paying for not signing a central defender to cover for the injured Dedryck Boyata and Erik Sviatchenko?

The manager himself has just compared their defending in the first half to that of "under-12s".

However, Unai Emery is putting together not only the most expensive squad in the world but potentially the best team too.

It is early days. Celtic recovered from losing 7-0 to Barcelona last season and they will have to do something similar this time too.

There is a kind of shocked acceptance on the part of Celtic fans. Celtic fans feared the worst and it was even worse than they thought. But PSG are a ridiculously good side who played ridiculously well tonight

  4. Emery pleased to thwart Celticpublished at 22:31 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    FT: Celtic 0-5 Paris St-Germain

Paris St-Germain coach Unai Emery: "The most difficult thing here is to cope with the rhythm Celtic play at and the intensity they play with and, of course, the support they have with them.

"I think my team showed a lot of character. It was really a team effort and it showed a really controlled approach to the game, which I'm very pleased with.

"I thought we had a lot of threat in the midfield. We controlled not just in the midfield but all across the park.

"What I was really pleased with was that we were in control with the ball but also without the ball."

Celtic have been 'Celtic-ed' tonight. They are used to thumping teams in domestic competitions who have budgets a fraction of theirs. The reverse has been the case tonight

PSG's middle three, their ball retention, their awareness of where each other were, the little triangles, and then, once they had opened up the space, to find Neymar or Mbappe, was great. A total understanding of how to play in a team structure

  11. 'Tough lesson' for Celtic - Rodgerspublished at 22:11 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    Celtic 0-5 Paris St-Germain

Speaking to BT Sport, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: "We could've been better in the first half. We were too passive.

"We started the second half and I know it's easier to play when you're 3-0 down, but we were much better.

"I was proud of the players in that second half as they continued to work.

"We spoke at half time and were much better in the second half.

"You have to give them credit, they have shown why they will be up there with a great chance of winning this competition.

"It was a harsh lesson and a tough lesson."

Douglas Bell, external No shame in losing to such a fantastic team. I had hoped Celtic could replicate previous European performances, but unfortunately the difference tonight was clear. Still, it's only match day 1.

Elwood Jackson, external Neymar may be class with the ball at his feet but showed no class in refusing to shake young Ralston's hand.

Barry McGloan, external Out played everywhere on the park. Basically like Celtic v Buckie Thistle in regards to player expenditure. The PSG fans deserve a round of applause. They were excellent start to finish.

  15. Ralston riled up by Neymarpublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

    FT: Celtic 0-5 Paris St-Germain

Anthony Ralston, making his Champions League group-stage debut at the age of 18, had a running battle with Neymar all night.

PSG's Brazilian superstar slipped his marker for the opening goal and had the young man in his pocket for the rest of the game.

Right-back Ralston's only response was to kick out at opponents and was lucky to only receive one yellow card.

It looked like Neymar even refused to shake hands at the final whistle, gesturing the scoreline at the young Scot, who will surely have learned a harsh lesson at this level of football.

  16. Draxler wants more from PSGpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 12 September 2017

Speaking to BT Sports, PSG's Julian Draxler said: "The first half, we did a great job, which makes the second half much easier.

"It was important to get the first three points and, of course, the teams know we are good.

"It was a good start, not more, not less.

"We are happy for the moment, but we know we have to improve."

PSG have been doing this to teams this season. With those three upfront and the artillery they have got behind, I thought this could happen. Celtic have got to rationalise it and move on. They learnt their lesson last season against Barcelona
