  1. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-2 Brentfordpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Romaine Sawyers (57 mins)

He's only on the pitch because of a head injury to team-mate Nico Yennaris, who scored Brentford's first, but Romaine Sawyers has a goal of his own.

It's rather lucky as his mishit strike comes back to him, but the Saint Kitts and Nevis international found the net at the second time of asking - from just inside the box.

    QPR 1-1 Wolves

When Wolves' attacking players link up effectively, we know how dangerous they can be.

Jota finds the usually clinical Leo Bonatini in the box, but this time the striker can only shoot over from around six yards.

    Watch out, QPR.

  3. goal

GOAL: Burton 1-1 Ipswichpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Martyn Waghorn (66 mins)

Martyn Waghorn turns in his seventh of the season to lift Ipswich Town's spirits and draw level at Burton Albion.

Jordan Spence sent in a cross, Burton failed to clear and the former Rangers and Sunderland forward pounced perfectly. Parity.

  4. There's only... er, two Ameobispublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

If you're being truly pedantic, there are three footballing brothers within the Ameobi family but the two we're really fussed about right now are Shola and Sammy (sorry, Tomi.)

Sammy got Bolton trotting onto a possible three points with his goal against Fulham, while Shola has got in on the act for Notts County who now lead 3-0 against Newport.

Good day for the Ameobi lads.

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

You'd think it's only a matter of time before Norwich equalise - Marco Stiepermann is the latest to go close, his volley smartly stopped by Scott Carson.

Derby are occasionally enjoying forays forward - Chris Martin shooting wide from the edge of the area.

    League Two

You're without a win in three, confidence might have taken a bruising, and you're a goal down at half-time... what do you do?

    Go Beast Mode.

Eberechi Eze got the ball rolling to equalise on 48 minutes. Pretty good. However, no one quite does it better than Adebayo Akinfenwa.

When he's not lifting his own bodyweight in barbells, he's a handy centre forward. He fired in his eighth of the season to make it 2-1.

    Preston 1-1 Brentford

They're back under way at Deepdale, which gives you some idea of how far behind they're running.

Preston's Sean Maguire cancelled out Nico Yennaris' opener.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:15 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Norwich 0-1 Derby

What's the first thing most people think of when they hear the words - Tom Huddlestone?

    A thunderous long-range shot.

The Derby midfielder almost shows us his trademark once again, but his dipping volley is somehow tipped over by Norwich keeper Angus Gunn.

  9. goal

GOAL: Burton 1-0 Ipswichpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Ben Turner (57 mins)

Burton v IpswichImage source, Rex Features

Ben Turner's bonce, a teasing cross and a looping header are the tale of the tape as Burton take the lead against Ipswich.

Bartosz Bialkowski had kept out a thudding drive from Luke Murphy moments earlier but could do nothing about the subtle arc of Turner's header over his outstretched palm.

    Breakthrough for the Brewers.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    QPR 1-1 Wolves

Luke Freeman... that was so nearly a memorable strike.

The QPR midfielder unleashes from just outside the box after a nice first touch, and the ball thumps off the bar and away.

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Neil Harris' visitors will feel hard done by if they don't get the first goal in Wales.

This time Steve Morison is the man with a sight of goal, but Neil Etheridge produces another strong save after the ball sat up well for the Millwall striker.

    HT: Preston 1-1 Brentford

Brentford have said Nico Yennaris was forced off with a head injury, which explains why the medical team took their time before stretchering off the midfielder.

We'll let you know when the second half starts at Deepdale.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Millwall think they should have a spot-kick, and plead to the referee to no avail.

Lee Gregory tries to get on the end of Steve Morison's pass and goes down after coming together with a Cardiff defender.

Was it a shove? The ref says not.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

We're back under way in most of our 15:00 BST kick-offs in the EFL.

Some games, such as Preston v Brentford, are running a tad behind however...

    HT: Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

How do you liven up what was perhaps not the most exciting first half?

Announce some half-time contract news, of course.

Cardiff striker Rhys Healey has signed a new deal until 2020 - lovely stuff.

    HT: Preston 1-1 Brentford

The half-time whistle has finally gone in Lancashire, where an injury to Brentford goalscorer Nico Yennaris has caused a lengthy delay.

We'll let you know if we get any updates on the former Arsenal injury - fingers crossed it's not a bad injury, but the stretcher was out and he's been replaced by Romaine Sawyers.

    FT: Sheff Wed 1-1 Barnsley

    Barnsley celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Barnsley came from behind to draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the day's 12:30 BST kick-off, a result that left Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal "frustrated".

"We must work hard to change the things, we created many situations but we must start scoring when we create these chances," he said after the South Yorkshire derby.

"We had a lot of chances but the story of the game is the opportunities that we missed and the efficiency of the opposition."
