A shame for England. Definitely deserved a draw from that game but, as Sue Smith says, there are probably more positives than negatives from their performance.

That's it from us. Keep an eye online for all the reaction.

    Goodbye.

They will be disappointed but for the majority of the game England did well. Overall a positive performance after a negative week.

    France 1-0 England

... Steph Houghton takes the free kick but it flies just over the bar.

    And that's full time.

    France 1-0 England

Into stoppage time. Not long left. Can England find an equaliser?

They have a free-kick 30 yards from goal...

GOAL - France 1-0 Englandpublished at 89 mins

    Viviane Asseyi

Disaster for England right at the end!

England have been defensively sound for 88 minutes but a slip up at the last looks to have given victory to France. Siobhan Chamberlain misses her attempt to punch a cross and Viviane Asseyi nods in.

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

I do think she gets clipped as she runs through.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 86 mins

    France 0-0 England

    BIG penalty call.

The two substitutes combine as Izzy Christiansen stops the ball from running out of play then cuts it back for Nikita Parris, who appears to gets clipped as she attempts to break on goal.

    Referee immediately waves away appeals.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 83 mins

    France 0-0 England

And England make another couple of changes as Nikita Parris and Izzy Christiansen comes on for Jodie Taylor and Toni Duggan.

Very attack-minded couple of changes. England going for the win.

  9. Postpublished at 79 mins

    France 0-0 England

Heading into the final 10 minutes and France make another change as Kadidiato Diani comes off for Viviane Asseyi.

  10. Postpublished at 75 mins

    France 0-0 England

Ouleymata Sarr has looked good for France since coming on, strong and direct. She breaks into the area and falls under a challenge inside the area by Millie Bright. Great tackle and England break quickly as Melissa Lawley's cross is flicked away by a France player just ahead of Jodie Taylor.

  11. Postpublished at 72 mins

    France 0-0 England

England have a free kick 40 yards from goal. That's just out of range for Jordan Nobbs so she floats it in for Jill Scott, but France have the midfielder marked and clear.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 69 mins

    France 0-0 England

A couple of changes for France as Ines Jaurena and Valerie Gauvin make way for Lea Le Garrec and Ouleymata Sarr. A midfielder and a striker on for a midfielder and a striker.

  13. Postpublished at 65 mins

    France 0-0 England

The crowd has suddenly become really vocal. Frustration? Nope. A Mexican wave is rushing around the stadium and the fans are loving it.

Can't blame them for making their own entertainment. It's been classic friendly stuff so far - a little disjointed and lacking in chances.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    France 0-0 England

England interim boss Mo Marley makes her first changes of the game as Jade Moore and Melissa Lawley come on for Fara Williams and Karen Carney respectively.

It's a debut for Manchester City forward Lawley. Big chance to make it extra special with a goal now.

How many times per game does Karen Carney give the ball away cheaply??

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 59 mins

    France 0-0 England

England have had the possession but France have had the better chances and Siobhan Chamberlain is called upon again to push behind Eugenie Le Sommer's effort from distance.

The shot lacked power but it was well aimed at the far corner and Chamberlain saw it late.

  17. Postpublished at 57 mins

    France 0-0 England

Got to say, I love watching Lucy Bronze play. So exciting when she charges forward, you just sense the possibility of something happening.

Once again she bursts through the middle of the pitch but her team-mates are not quite on the same wavelength as Fara Williams' first touch lets her down and France clear.

  18. Postpublished at 54 mins

    France 0-0 England

It's good stuff from England. They are dominating two third of the pitch but it's in the final third they have disappointed so far. Too many wrong decisions being made there.

  19. Postpublished at 51 mins

    France 0-0 England

England well on top at the moment as Toni Duggan gets the ball on the edge of the area. She attempts to curl an effort into the top corner but the shot is blocked.

  20. Postpublished at 48 mins

    France 0-0 England

Good persistence by Karen Carney wins England an early corner from which Lucy Bronze directs a header just wide. Positive start to the second half by the visitors.
