    Best in Africa?

Former Bolton midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha, on there being no African players on the original 55-man shortlist: "It shows where we are at, at the moment. But the future looks bright. We are working on developing players who have that ambition to compete. It is difficult, in Africa you are playing under tremendous pressure – to be accepted and to prove you can compete with the best."

Who is the best African player at the moment? "It is difficult for me as I would like to be diplomatic but I would have to say Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang."
