    Reading v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

Nuno Espirito SantoImage source, Getty Images

Wolves need only avoid defeat at 18th-placed Reading to once again overtake Sheffield United at the top of the table.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are very much flying, having won five of their past six league matches, dating back to late September.

And, while Reading have had a very mixed start to the season, they hit some impressive recent form, scoring seven goals in their past two matches - a 3-1 home triumph over Nottingham Forest and 4-2 victory at Derby.

  8. Can the Bees go 10 unbeaten?published at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

    Cardiff v Brentford (15:00 GMT)

Third-placed Cardiff, who are yet to be beaten at home in the league this season, entertain a Brentford side that are on an unbeaten run of nine games - currently the longest such run in the Championship.

The Bees won three on the spin before the international break, with two of them coming away from home as they triumphed at Preston and Birmingham.

  9. Villa without Terry for the first timepublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

QPR v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)

Aston Villa haven't been without former England and Chelsea captain John Terry for a single minute in the league this season...

But that is set to change when action kicks off at Loftus Road.

A broken metatarsal in his right foot (yep, the pesky little bone that seems to break whenever an inspirational star is needed i.e David Beckham ahead of 2002 World cup and Wayne Rooney four years later) has "devastated" Villa's 36-year-old skipper, who is set for a few weeks on the sideline now.

And, while Terry used the international break to begin his recuperation with a holiday in Dubai, the all round injury news got a whole lot worse for Villa, as Jonathan Kodjia aggravated an ankle problem while on duty with the Ivory Coast and fellow forward Scott Hogan underwent stomach surgery.

QPR v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)

Loftus Road was very much home sweet home for Queens Park Rangers in October, as they picked up wins against high-flyers Wolves and Sheffield United.

However, those back-to-back wins, which extended their unbeaten run to four games, was followed by their heaviest defeat of the season - a 4-0 loss at Nottingham Forest.

Now, they face an Aston Villa side that are in the best away form for a good while, winning three of their past five away from Villa Park. Another win on the road would be Villa's fourth of 2017-18, equaling the club's tally for the whole of last season.

  12. Symons at the Stadium of Lightpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

    Sunderland v Millwall (15:00 GMT)

A few outlets, including the Sunderland Echo,, external are reporting that Kit Symons, Chris Coleman's assistant with Wales, is at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

By the sounds of things, however, Coleman won't be there himself. By all accounts, he's actually due to switch on the Christmas lights in Newport tonight. I imagine he'd be grateful to have everything confirmed and announced before that appointment this evening...

Has Coleman made the right move joining Sunderland?

Chris Coleman has left his job as Wales manager to take over at Championship bottom side Sunderland.

So, after taking Gareth Bale and co. to the European Championship semi-finals just last year, he has swapped it all for a relegation battle in England's second tier.

Now, we ask you is that a crazy career move for a man that was eyeing Champions League football on his return to club management? Or is this a intriguing career challenge for a man with an already big reputation for getting the best out of an underdog side?
