It's tight at the top in the fourth tier.

Notts County are guaranteed to remain as leaders if they can beat 16th-placed Cheltenham at Meadow Lane.

But Accrington, Exeter and Luton could end up taking over at the summit by the end of the day's action. The Grecians are away against rock-bottom Chesterfield, while Accrington and Luton are home to Newport and Cambridge respectively.

At the other end of the table Barnet, under new manager Mark McGhee, could climb out of the relegation zone - but they will need a first league win since September.

In-form Charlton, in third, have won four in five and are home to MK Dons.

Cardiff and Bristol City will be looking to maintain pace with the top two as they face Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

    Sunderland v Millwall (15:00 GMT)

    Chris ColemanImage source, Getty Images

At the top of the news agenda in the EFL today is the Championship's bottom club Sunderland and their major coup in landing Wales manager Chris Coleman as new boss.

Coleman, 47, will succeed Simon Grayson, who was sacked after 18 games in charge.

Last night, the Football Association of Wales confirmed: "Regretfully, Chris Coleman has resigned from his position with immediate effect."

So it is all eyes are on the Stadium of Light today as we await confirmation from Sunderland...

Oh, and the Black Cats are also in action. They will be trying to avoid the unwanted English record of being the first club to go 20 games without a home triumph.

Their failure to beat Bolton Wanderers at the end of October led to the club matching the dreadful run of 19 games without a home win - they share it with Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Dagenham & Redbridge.
