    It's proving to be quite a first season in English football for Leeds' Spanish schemer Samuel Saiz.

    His first-half strike was his ninth goal of the season, and he's chipped in with four assists as well.

    He has plenty of work to do at the break but is this man staying put at Oakwell? Barnsley have opened talks with manager Paul Heckingbottom over a new contract.

    The 40-year-old had been linked to the Sunderland job earlier this month prior to Chris Coleman's appointment.

    Chief executive Gauthier Ganaye told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We value Paul really highly, so we have been discussing with him and his representative for a little while."
