Well it's been quite a day in the EFL. Fellow Wolves fans, rejoice. A 5-1 thrashing of Bolton Wanderers at Molineux and seven points clear at the Championship summit, but Cardiff could cut that gap down to four points with victory against Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

At the other end, Chris Coleman has tasted victory for the first time since taking over as Sunderland boss and their three-point return against Burton has lifted them off the bottom of the table.

At Bramall Lane, Chris Wilder will be disappointed to see his side fail to win for the second game in a row. However, Leon Clarke's late equaliser prevented what would have been only their third back-to-back defeat under Wilder after they lost against Fulham in midweek.

Leon Clarke's ninth goal in four games cancelled out a simply stunning finish from Birmingham City's Jeremie Boga to earn Sheffield United a draw.

The bad news for the hosts is that it leaves them seven points adrift of Championship leaders Wolves.

Birmingham City midfielder Jeremie Boga told Sky Sports:

"For the team it was an important point away from home. We knew it would be tough against a tough side.

"We tried out best and I thought we deserved a point today.

"It was crucial for us. Away from home we've not been good enough and this is an important result for us."

Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke told Sky Sports:

"As a group of players, getting one point out of three is disappointing and it hasn't been our week.

"I thought we played really well today. I thought we should have won but we can take the positives into the next game."

This has been a tremendous game and a point is probably a fair result for both sides. A late attack from Sheffield United is blocked as they try in vain to nick three points.

Birmingham scored a rare goal through a moment of individual brilliance from Jeremie Boga but Leon Clarke ensured his goalscoring run continued.

Credit to Steve Cotterill's Birmingham City side, though. They've defended valiantly and have a lot to build on ahead of facing Midlands rivals Wolves a week on Monday.

John Fleck lays the ball to David Brooks who plays to Jack O'Connell. The defender fires a shot that's better placed converting a try than it is a realistic effort on goal.

Meanwhile, Birmingham make another change as Sam Gallagher replaces Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Four minutes of time have been added on.

Birmingham look like a team with a bit of life since Jacques Maghoma and Che Adams have come on.

The pair of them make easy work of finding a pathway through the Sheffield United defence and Adams is unfortunate not to put the ball into the net at the result of a lovely attacking sequence of play.

A delay in play as Birmingham City goalscorer Jeremie Boga receives treatment for cramp, much to the annoyance of the home fans.

He's replaced by Che Adams.

Cheers of "Leon! Leon! Leon!" from the Bramall Lane faithful and I'm guessing they're not shouting their appreciation for the restaurant chain.

The corner comes to nothing but Birmingham City hastily clear their lines. Sheffield United work it into the box once more and Leon Clarke pounces onto a loose ball, but Blues win a free-kick.

The visitors make a change as Jacques Maghoma comes on for Jota.

Straight after the substitution, Leon Clarke tries an effort on goal and wins a corner for the hosts.

Now it's John Fleck's turn to go into the book for a foul in the aftermath of a scramble for the ball.

Bolton slump back to the bottom of the Championship after having five goals put past them by league leaders Wolves.

Bolton Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson said "We gave some poor goals away today against a very, very good side. I must say that Wolves are by far the best team in the Championship.

"They have spent millions of pounds all over the pitch and they have Premiership quality throughout the team.

"They are going to win the league by 10 points. I will say that now."

Massive confusion at the back for the Blades and Jeremie Boga tries to work a chance from a loose ball but it falls to Lukas Jutkiewicz but he can't quite fire into the net as it's cleared away.

At the other end, David Brooks crosses into the box and Blues keeper David Stockdale is forced into a save.

A double substitutioon from the hosts. Off come Cameron Carter-Vickers and Billy Sharp and on come Samir Carruthers and David Brooks.

It's all Sheffield United here but they just can't seem to work a clear cut chance on goal.

Chris Basham delivers the latest ball into the Birmingham City box but it sails narrowly over the head of Leon Clarke.

John Fleck unleashes a cross into the box and John Lundstram is totally unmarked and in prime position in the centre of the box at the 18-yard line but he buries it well wide of the mark.

It's just not going their way so far and it's a rare lapse in defence for Birmingham, who've been reasonably solid at the back in this game.

Matej Vydra scored all three goals as Derby County beat a Middlesbrough side that played almost the entire second half with 10 men. Victory moves the Rams above Boro and into the play-off places.

Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby: "We know he has the ability, but Vydra has composure as well.

"He had a spell at Derby where he would get a chance and he would feel it was the chance that he had to score. And he would probably react negatively if he didn't take the chance to score.

"Now he is relaxing and has the belief that he is going to score and it is a fantastic thing for us to have. Long may it continue that he continues to threaten the goal. We know he is terrific player.

"His goals were the difference today, but as a team we were excellent. We managed the game really well."
