Leicester v Man City (15:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

With Manchester City playing 'cosmic football' (©Noel Gallagher) and on an English record 15-game winning run*, their position as top team in the land is (unlike that record) almost indisputable.

Yet, with Leicester having picked themselves up impressively of late, there are some who believe that this is where the run ends.

Last season's 4-2 win for the Foxes in this fixture surely has some bearing on that, but a lot has changed since that day - one which made Pep Guardiola 'look inside himself', and possibly pivotal in how he has restructured the visiting City.

They'll come this time with a very different team, and with a very different result expected.

Jesus Perez, Spurs coach, is apoplectic as the sides go down the tunnel. He's fuming at Mike Dean.

Should the free-kick for the opener have been given? Could both goals have been given offside?

Craig Smith: As a natural-born pessimist, I can't help but think Arsenal will get someone sent off in these conditions and Spurs will win 3-2.

Mat VP: It feels great to be winning, great to be playing well. Shame this 45 minutes is the exception rather than the norm nowadays.

Cheer up Gunners fans, it might never happen!

Mayhem at Emirates Stadium as Arsenal get a stranglehold on this north London derby.

Spurs entered this game producing evidence that the balance of power might just be starting to swing around these parts but not today - The Gunners have been by far the better side.

Arsenal's fans are loving this. And are letting the Spurs fans know all about it.

    Arsenal 2-0 Tottenham

    Bradley Allen

    The stadium is pumped.

The Arsenal players once again swept forward in numbers. In selection we could see from the start the Gunners have a lot of quality offensive players.

And Sanchez, off his second touch, smashed the ball home form just a yard out.

Arsenal are in dreamland, two goals up in the North London Derby!

    Arsenal 2-0 Tottenham

Spurs need the next goal if they are going to salvage anything from this - and that's a great tackle! Harry Kane is almost within sight of goal but Laurent Koscielny recovers well to slide in and take the ball .

Kane then nutmegs his man again but screws a tired-looking shot wide.

    Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal get in behind again, Alexandre Lacazette this time, just onside. He fires a cross in at Alexis Sanchez, who has space in the middle. His touch looks a bad one at first but he has time to run around it and launch a shot into the roof of the net from just a few yards out.

Is that game over for Tottenham?!

The referee has not been convincing, he has not been certain. That disappoints me, as this is such a high-profile match. But Arsenal aren't complaining!

As I said a 12:43, it always pays to be on Dean Watch...

The Tottenham coaching staff are furious with Mike Dean and the fourth official.

The cross was great and it's a thumping header. Mustafi's header actually had curl on it, and it bounced in off the far post to give the Gunners the lead. Wild scenes among the Arsenal supporters.

    Shkodran Mustafi

Well I thought it was a good tackle from Davinson Sanchez and it proves decisive as Arsenal lead from the free-kick!

Mesut Ozil lofts the ball in with a lazy swing of his left peg and Germany team-mate Shkodran Mustafi climbs well, before sending a really superb header back across goal, beating Hugo Lloris and pinging in off the inside of the post.

Was he offside as well? Nothing in it.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 34 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham

Slayer of Ireland, Christian Eriksen, is found inside the area and he takes a touch before stroking a shot past a defender and against the bottom of the post. Close!

Moments later Harry Kane floats a header in on goal, it takes a touch off the head of Shkodran Mustafi and Petr Cech is able to save. Momentum swinger?
