Chris Coleman has left his job as Wales manager - to take over at Championship club Sunderland. Surprised?

Coleman will succeed Simon Grayson, who was sacked after 18 games in charge.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) confirmed: "Regretfully, Chris Coleman has resigned from his position with immediate effect."

Ex-defender Coleman, 47, succeeded the late Gary Speed in 2012 and guided them to an historic appearance at Euro 2016, where they reached the semi-finals.

By the time Arsene Wenger's finished watching Netflix on his tablet in bed he hasn't got time to read a book. Who has?

When asked if he had read Mauricio Pochettino's new book, Wenger said: "No, because I have no time, not because it is not interesting. Because I have a good experience of managing.

"Look, I have nothing against it. I am open-minded to it. But I have not much time in my schedule."

Wenger, 68, has had books written about him but has never put anything down in his own words.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger certainly seems in the mood for his the north London derby.

In his programme notes he writes: "The clubs are very close, they have a very animated history - that is the least you can say - and overall every derby is special circumstances.

"On top of that we added some things in terms of players coming to us - I added some fuel to it!"

    What can Mr. Wenger mean?

Newcastle pair Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu are absent with respective ankle and thigh problems.

Mikel Merino remains sidelined by a back injury, while Paul Dummett won't feature because of a lack of match fitness.

Crystal Palace welcome back striker Christian Benteke after seven weeks out with a knee injury.

New England legend Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a doubt with back spasms, Lee Chung-yong and Jordon Mutch are also doubtful and Patrick van Aarnolt is out with a hamstring injury.

Full-back Cuco Martina has recovered from concussion and neck pain and is also in contention.

Ross Barkley, Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori and James McCarthy all remain sidelined for the injury-hit Toffees.
