    SCREAMER!

What a goal that is! Bristol City lead and it's absolutely fantastic.

They work the ball well through midfield, neat passing before Marlon Pack sends left wing-back Joe Bryan into space. There doesn't appear much danger though until he hits a rocket first-time right into the top corner.

Remember Gio van Bronckhorst in the World Cup semi-final?!

    Just like that!

Almost time to launch the Gif generator! Bobby Reid twists away from Victor Lindelof and fires in a shot which hits the side-netting at the near post.

Fine effort from the Robins striker.

That was a good save. He had to change direction from going left to quickly diving down low to his right. Big save!

Lee Johnson and Bristol City are a good example of patience when you think about Swansea and Clement.

They were really struggling last season but the chairman stood by him and look how they've progressed.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2017

    Bristol City 0-0 Manchester United

Marcus Rashford lines up a free-kick from what must be close to 40 yards. Everyone's expecting a cross but he hits a shot, it hits a man in the wall and is flying in until Luke Steele makes an excellent recovery and gets across to make the save.

    That was sneaking in!

Bournemouth have been the better side since the break. Chelsea are sitting back, they're staying compact. They're at home but playing on the counter attack.

If the game keeps going like this, it's inevitable there will be chances.

Chance for Jack Simpson! The young Bournemouth defender is free at a corner but mistimes his jump and it hits him on the shoulder!

Moments later Lys Mousset has a shot charged away for a corner. Bournemouth on top at the moment...

Willian has stopped, expecting a foul, for the third time today. Play to the whistle! Antonio Conte is not happy with his Brazilian winger.

Bournemouth still having a good start to the second half, plenty of possession in good areas.

Bournemouth have nothing to lose, they have to throw everything at it. They need to know they couldn't have done anything more - for their supporters.

More good Cherries play as Harry Arter knits a one-two together to move into the area - again though the final touch lets them down.

That was a thoroughly engaging half of football. Both sides could have opened the scoring.

United have been the more dangerous going forward, as you’d expect, but this is a really decent cup tie.

Bristol City’s long throws from Hordur Magnusson are a useful weapon, but they’ve not really tested the keeper from one of them yet.

Bristol City are not in awe. They don't feel nervous and the crowd are behind them. They have the weapon of Magnusson's long throw too.

It's a fascinating game but I just feel United are more potent in the 18 yard box.

So far though it's very evenly balanced.

I hate the expression it could go either way. It's over-used by pundits but....it might!

Bournemouth have come out flying, Lys Mousset putting in some dangerous crosses and winning two corners.

Willy Caballero comes to claim the latest and doesn't look too authoritative.

They've got the balance right between defence and attack. There's not too much space length or width wise between players and when they go forward they're not frightened to support which deserves credit.
