Cheltenham Town manager Gary Johnson, father of Bristol City boss Lee:

"He was a player under me, playing over 100 games, but he was like Marmite, some people loved his game, some did not. If you are going to have a father-son relationship in football, it has to be successful. Lucky enough, we were. He has taken the good bits from what he learnt and that is how he has gone about it.

"Lee being England manager would be nice, free tickets for the Wembley games. He is going in the right direction and he wants to get Bristol City to the Premier League."

The Chelsea fans will be expecting a win. They have the stronger squad, they're playing at home. Everything points towards a Chelsea win.

Chelsea in the past under Jose Mourinho always set out to win this - it's the first trophy up for grabs. And it would give everyone a massive lift. They have to identify this as a chance of winning silverware.

Bournemouth have nothing to lose. They should just go out and give it their best.

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells Sky Sports: "We are the holders but I am not sure we are the favourites. They are here after knocking out three Premier League teams, are in an amazing position in Championship, playing at home and they will fight for the result. We will do the same.

"It is good to have Paul Pogba back, we missed him and he is an important player. He has had an injury then was suspended and we have been without him for too long.

"Since 2004, I am used to cup matches and playing against Championship teams. I know what to expect from them, especially a team who is third in the league where the quality is going up and up and up.

"Championship teams are not just any more competitive teams, they are teams with lots of quality and very similar to Premier League teams. We will face a difficult opponent."

Sam Brown: 20 years of distinctly average football I’ve endured waiting for us to play a huge team...and it’s still over a week before Wolves visit Ashton Gate!

Darren Sneddon: Wouldn't even mind a couple Bristol City goals the night just for their twitter reactions.

Daniel Watson: Bristol City are decent, this’ll be close.

Jon Rutter: That front three with Pogba in behind is going to be a thing of beauty. This could be a rough night for Bristol City....

Manchester United haven’t visited Ashton Gate since 13 October 1979. Tonight we hear they had to make the journey via an unexpected detour to Wales, after their flight to Bristol was diverted to Cardiff airport.

Awaiting them - and now booing them all as their names are read out by the stadium announcer - is the largest crowd at Ashton Gate since that meeting in the Old First Division, over 38 years ago. They’re expecting just shy of 27,000.

Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown kept faith with 36-year-old manager Lee Johnson when results were't going for him last season.

Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown has been speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live ahead of the game.

He's been reflecting on how manager Lee Johnson turned things around from the struggles of last season to being third in the Championship right now.

"It was difficult to be owner and chairman when things don't go well, you only have one card to play but we didn't want to do it," he said.

"It was easier to stay with Lee because we know him well. But with all the clamor from fans and media to do it, it was a difficult time.

"You have to be single minded and I was that during that period. I was obstinate. I believed in Lee and what we were doing and I'm glad to say we've been vindicated.

"I love having young eager tigers keen to progress makes life exciting and having Lee, Jamie McAllister and Dean Holden is just fantastic.

"They're all keen to do better and prove themselves. We're enjoying the moment.

"This football club is a fantastic place to be and we're in a good place."

Fans around us have already voiced their excitement at the potential battle between Aden Flint and Zlatan Ibrahimović tonight.

Something of a cult hero for Robins fans, at 6ft 6in, Flint towers over most Championship strikers, and he’s earned plenty of praise lately - for his goal gifs as well as his on-pitch performances.

But facing Zlatan will present a very different test of his credentials.

A brilliant programme cover by Bristol City tonight which has their manager Lee Johnson in superhero mode while Jose Mourinho looks more like an evil Sith Lord from the Star Wars films.

I spoke to Johnson after their fourth-round win over Crystal Palace and when I asked him who he wanted in the quarter-final draw he said “Manchester United at home”.

    It is his destiny.....
