'Get me to Goodison'... is one of the many things Diego Simeone is unlikely to say

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone says he plans to stay at the club for another two years, dismissing links to the Everton job.

"As I've said on various occasions, my future is tied to Atletico. They are going to have to put up with me for the next couple of years at least. I'm absolutely sure about that," he said.

In six seasons under the Argentine, Atletico have won La Liga, the Europa League, the Copa del Rey and reached two Champions League finals, losing both to today's opponents.

  3. 'No Ramos-Ronaldo fall-out'published at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid (19:45 GMT)

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says there is "no problem" between Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos after rumours that the pair have fallen out.

Ronaldo told journalists the club missed some of the players who left during the summer, while captain Ramos said "I do not miss anyone", leading to reports of tension.

"Sergio is very smart and he can say whatever he likes. The same goes for Cristiano. They're bright guys, they've been together a long time and have won a lot," he said.

"Every now and then, for one to think one thing, and the other to say something else, it's not a problem.

"If you think there's issues between them, you're mistaken. It's part of life, and football, and if they're voicing their opinions that just shows they're alive."

This is the first Madrid derby at the new home of Atletico, the Wanda Metropolitano.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

That's it. It's all over. Roma win, and deservedly so. They move up to third in the table - only two points behind leaders Napoli, who host AC Milan 50 minutes from now.

  9. Postpublished at 90+5 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

It wouldn't be a derby without a melee. Ciro Immobile was central to it all. Nobody is booked through. Seconds left.

  10. Postpublished at 90+5 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Tough tackles all round, Lazio have a free-kick 50 yards from goal. The keeper comes up to take it but his ball into the box is cleared.

  11. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Corner to Lazio. Nani to take. But it's headed clear. The keeper hadn't come up disappointingly.

  12. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Roma have a free-kick, but they play it short instead of lumping it into the mixer. It doesn't end so well though as Daniele de Rossi miscontrols out of play.

  13. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Roma have a corner, Diego Perotti is in no rush to take it. Lazio aren't happy with how slow he's being.

It's eventually taken and now a Roma player is down injured, when he'd presumably have been up by now if his side needed a goal.

  14. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Oh hello. Six minutes added on. There might be life in this game yet.

  15. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Bastos shoots, Luis Alberto flicks it but Roma keeper Alisson holds. Was that Lazio's final (half-) chance?

  16. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Lazio's Adam Marusic puts in a cross, nobody is in the centre but Federico Fazio doesn't know that and can't take the risk. He gets it out for a corner - but Roma get that clear. We're entering the final minute.

  17. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Oooooh. Lazio's Marco Parolo shoots from just outside the box - and it fizzes just wide of Alisson's far post. Is there one big moment yet to come?

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

The very final switch of the game. Goalscorer Radja Nainggolan is replaced by Juan Jesus. That's a defender for a midfielder.

  19. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Roma are trying to slow the game down understandably. They go back from midfield to their goalkeeper with the ball, just trying to keep possession.

It was looking so easy about 12 minutes ago. They're going to make another change soon.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Roma 2-1 Lazio

Roma bring off midfielder Alessandro Florenzi, who might have had a slight injury. Brazilian defender Bruno Peres takes his place.
