England full-back Lucy Bronze: "It was maybe not as straightforward as the scoreline makes it seem. We were clinical in the end though.

"These qualifiers were a chance to get people on the pitch and get the ball down and play a bit. We wanted to enjoy the atmosphere result and performance."

England captain Steph Houghton: We knew that Bosnia were going to be deep and defend for their lives. It was good to win by more than one goal. It was about time that I scored for England.

"We had to be patient. But we had to move the ball quickly and I thought Danielle Carter did a good job stretching them up front."

England interim coach Mo Marley speaking to BBC Red Button: "We have done a lot of work around being more creative and we are really pleased with the opportunities we created.

"We wanted to express ourselves on the pitch trying to be fluid and free and there were loads of goal-scoring moments.

"It will take time, there were a lot of young players on the pitch, but we want the whole team to be able to play and be fluent in their combinations with each other.

"We want to give everyone a fair assessment and we will rotate the team again when we face Kazakhstan on Tuesday."

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2017

England Women 3-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina Women

Nikita Parris's raking crossfield ball picks out the run of Toni Duggan. Duggan cannot quite tame the pass, under pressure from a defender.

But that was a superb way for Parris to sign off on an excellent evening's work.

Melissa Lawley is on in her place.

    Nearly 2-0!

Ward beats the offside trap but her low ball is just behind the unmarked Chivers.

The 90 minutes are nearly up. We'll have three added minutes. Concentration time.

Nikita Parris sniffs a second for herself and a fourth for the hosts.

The Manchester City attacker drives in well off the wing to meet Jo Potter's cross but is ruled just offside.

Her header was clearing the bar anyway.

YESSSSSSS! What scenes we have here. Wales getting that goal they’ve been searching for all match. Hayley Ladd scoring directly from a free kick! Thoroughly deserved.

England in cruise control on the way to their second successive group victory.

The flags are waving, the trumpeter is still trumpeting, the drummer is still drumming and a lot of young voices are making a shrill noise in the near capacity 10,026 crowd.

And, at one point, they even started a Black Country style Bescot wave.

Aside from the well beaten Bosnians, the only slightly disappointed figure in the ground must be Fran Kirby, who has had dreadful luck in front of goal. So many well struck efforts on target, and all have somehow been kept out, by a variety of increasingly extreme measures!

  17. goal

GOAL - Wales Women 1-0 Kazakhstan Womenpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 24 November 2017

    Hayley Ladd

    Yes! They've done it!

At long last Wales make the breakthrough as Hayley Ladd's flighted free-kick from the left floats past everyone in the box, past the keeper and into the far corner.

Surely that is going to be the winner. There are seven minutes to go and Kazakhstan have barely been in the Welsh half.
