We're off in the second half and, as I suggested, Killie boss Steve Clarke has made half-time changes.

Anthony O'Connor and Scott McKenna have been preferred in central defence by Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes, with Iceland international Kari Arnason being dropped to the bench, and the new pairing have looked comfortable.
Kilmarnock manager Stevie Clarke must surely be considering changes at half-time to alter the flow of the game.
A first home win of the season is a long way off - and unlikely - right now.
For the Dons, they are on their way to reducing the gap at the top of the table without having to work too hard for their lead.

Quote MessageWith Kilmarnock's poor home record, it must have been a severe blow to lose a goal so early. Aberdeen were strong after that and, when Kilmarnock started to play, they defended well
Aberdeen are on their way to reducing the gap between themselves and Premiership leaders Celtic to three points.
Kenny McLean answered critic Kris Boyd, who is on the Kilmarnock bench after his criticism of the midfielder's Scotland call-up, by giving the Dons the lead within the first minute.
Stephen O'Donnell deflected the second into his own net in a first half in which Kilmarnock rarely threatened a comeback from those two early blows.

Quote MessageThe long ball is not what's required from Kilmarnock as Aberdeen have defended them very well today

Credit to the home side, who are gradually becoming more influential in this match. They've tested the Aberdeen defence, although the visitors are holding firm.
The crowd have finally got going and it's the result of a touch more creativity and purpose. Jordan Jones looks threatening, but, crucially, Joe Lewis is yet to make a single save.
Derek McInnes will demand his Aberdeen side get better control of the flow of traffic as they looked so comfortable in the early stages.
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Another booking and it is for Aberdeen's Graeme Shinnie for a late kick at the ankle of Stephen O'Donnell.
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
It's not Kirk Broadfoot but team-mate Adam Frizzel who is next in the referee's book after the midfielder trips Shay Logan.
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Another foul from Kirk Broadfoot. The former Rangers and Rotherham United defender is on thin ice.
Not anything to do with the condition of the Rugby Park pitch and the freezing temperatures but because he is already on a yellow card as he wrestles with Stevie May.

Quote MessageYou feel that, if Kilmarnock can get the next goal, they could go on and get a draw from this. But, if they lose the next one, it could be five or six
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Kilmarnock are starting to exert some pressure on the Dons defence, but Jordan Jones fires well over after engineering himself a sight at goal deep inside the penalty area.
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Kenny McLean's opener for the Dons was the former St Mirren midfielder's fourth goal of the season.
Stevie May would have matched that had there not been a deflection on the visitors' second.

Quote MessageAberdeen had a bit more control in the early part of the game, but Kilmarnock are coming back into it and are having more of the ball
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Dons defender Anthony O'Connor takes an unwise ride on the back of Lee Erwin as he heads clear.
The Killie striker is demanding a penalty kick, but the referee waves play on.

Aberdeen are utterly dominant and look likely to add to their tally sooner rather than later.
Clearly, the second goal had a touch of fortune with the ball coming off two Killie players then beyond MacDonald. However, at this stage, there's only one side in it.
Kilmarnock haven't got going and certainly haven't recovered from losing that first-minute goal.
They look short of confidence. It's less than encouraging for the home support.
Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen
Aberdeen threaten again and there would have been another stroke of luck about it, but Greg Tansey's overhit curling corner just misses the crossbar and lands on the top of the net.
Stephen O'Donnell own goal
A miserable couple of minutes are complete for Kirk Broadfoot.
The free-kick he conceded is curled into the penalty area and Stevie May's flicked header deflects off Broadfoot then team-mate Stephen O'Donnell before dropping past goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald and into the net.
Kilmarnock's terrible home record looks set to continue and we're only 11 minutes into the game.
Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen
Killie's woes continue and Kirk Broadfoot goes into the book for hauling back Gary Mackay-Steven.
Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen
Scorer Kenny McLean is influential again, playing the ball into the path of Stevie May inside the Killie penalty box and his low drive is saved by Jamie MacDonald at the near post.

We can already see the attacking threat Aberdeen possess in this structure with this personnel.
It was a positive, blistering start and a tidy finish from Kenny McLean on his weaker foot, albeit a touch too simple.
Kilmarnock seem to possess greater mental strength under Steve Clarke, so it'll be interesting to see how they react to this setback.
Right now, they're struggling to get on the ball and get forward.
