    Motherwell 0-0 Celtic

Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is fortunate to escape a yellow card for a rash challenge on Chris Cadden. But referee Willie Collum settles for another lecture.

  2. DISALLOWED GOAL FOR RANGERSpublished at 24 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

Rangers appear to have doubled their lead as a superb through ball from Ross McCrorie finds Josh Windass. The latter sweeps the ball home but is flagged offside.

The hosts are slicing through the Aberdeen rearguard like a knife through butter.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 23 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

First chance of the game for the Dons, and their first display of fluency and verve in the Rangers half.

Kenny McLean spins and delivers a curling ball over the top for Stevie May, haring in behind the defence in the inside-left channel.

Wes Foderingham is quickly off his line, though, and blocks his attempted lob for a corner, which comes to nothing.

  4. Dons looking bluntpublished at 20:06

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

"They need more time in the final third, Aberdeen. They haven't played any football in there. Andrew Considine diving in there and giving possession away doesn't help.

"It's an unusual shape for the Dons and so far it's not working."

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2017

    Motherwell 0-0 Celtic

The visitors come within a whisker of breaking the deadlock as Callum McGregor fizzes an effort narrowly wide. It remains goalless at Fir Park but you get the feeling a goal's coming...

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 20 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

Carlos Pena shoots from 25 yards out and Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis reaches up to tip the ball over.

    Pena for your thoughts?

  7. Tansey toilingpublished at 20:04

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Billy Dodds
    BBC Scotland summariser

"He got caught in possession a couple of times at Rugby Park on Saturday and Derek McInnes wasn't happy.

"I think Derek McInnes feels Tansey needs to do things a little bit quicker, on the ball and certainly off the ball."

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

Anthony O'Connor earns a booking for a foul on Josh Windass. The Aberdeen defender protests his innocence but referee Andrew Dallas is having none of it.

  9. Midfield key for Aberdeenpublished at 19:59

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

I dont think Aberdeen have settled down at all. Getting the goal gives Rangers a whole heap of confidence, the home fans are behind them, and they're dominating possession.

Aberdeen have got to get on the ball, they've got plenty players in midfield and they've got to try and pass it through midfield - no point in just playing it up to Stevie May, he's a lone figure up there.

"They don't have any control of that midfield and Rangers are certainly dominating."

  10. Dons doing all the wrong thingspublished at 14 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Billy Dodds
    BBC Scotland summariser

"One thing you don't want to do, for a team that's low in confidence, without a manager and not playing well is give them a start, give the fans something to shout about.

"That low cross for Windass got them going and then the crazy penalty from Tansey has just lifted the crowd.

"You could have been getting the crowd on Rangers' players backs - it's completely gone the other way."

Difficult to see what happened to Patrick Roberts but losing him so early on is a blow for Celtic. Motherwell have started well and they’re pushing and pressing Celtic all over the pitch.

  13. Motherwell 'making themselves felt'published at 9 mins

    Motherwell 0-0 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Radio Scotland

"Motherwell are working down the wide areas and trying to get the ball into the box earlier. So far Celtic have defended quite well. Heavy challenges from Moult and Kipre - Motherwell are making themselves felt in this game."

  14. Motherwell 0-0 Celticpublished at 8 mins

Motherwell's front men are pressing high, ensuring Celtic's centre-backs don't have too much time on the ball. But Louis Moult goes in late on Dedryck Boyata, earning a warning from referee Willie Collum.

  15. 'It's high, it's reckless'published at 19:53

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Billy Dodds
    BBC Scotland summariser

"It's reckless more than anything. It's high, it's mistimed, I don't think Aberdeen can have any qualms."

  18. 'Dons all at sea'published at 4 mins

    Rangers 0-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

"Aberdeen playing that unusual shape with the three at the back, Andrew Considine switched off there. The back-three were all at sea. It just needed a touch from Josh Windass."

  19. Motherwell 0-0 Celticpublished at 3 mins

A bright start by both sides at Fir Park. The Steelmen look to draw first blood through Carl McHugh but his looping header fails to test Craig Gordon.

  20. 'Good start for Rangers'published at 2 mins

    Rangers 0-0 Aberdeen

    Billy Dodds
    BBC Scotland summariser

"Really good start for Rangers, getting down that right side, blasting in a cross, no takers. They started well against Dundee but just couldn't sustain it."
