The battle between Brown and McGinn is fantastic and I can't take my eyes off it. In the opening 10 minutes, there were four or five confrontations between them and it's been a great head-to-head in a very even game

Forrest missed an absolute sitter, but apart from that, there haven't been any clear-cut chances. Hibs will be happy that Celtic haven't really cut them open

It's been an absorbing game but not one littered with chances.

James Forrest has had the best opportunity but the Celtic winger, in excellent scoring form this season, sent his right-foot shot wide of the post when presented with an early Christmas gift from Hibs midfielder Dylan McGeough.

Hibs attacks have been pretty rare, so you can understand the crowd's frustration as John McGinn floats a free kick straight into the arms of Celtic keeper Craig Gordon.

Hibs are exposed a little as Scott Sinclair finds room on the left. Efe Ambrose does well not to dive in and is soon joined by team-mate Marvin Bartley. The Celtic winger tries to go straight through them but they are both big lads and there's no way past.

A smart first-time lay-off from James Forrest allows Mikael Lustig to charge into the Hibs box but the Swedish full-back sends his angled shot wide of the far post.

    Hibernian 0-0 Celtic

Hibs striker Anthony Stokes races into a huge space in behind the Celtic defence and his progress his halted as Dedryck Boyata clips his heels near the edge of the penalty box. A booking for the big Belgian.

John McGinn's attempt is partially blocked by the defensive wall before half-hearted appeals for a penalty as the ball pings against the outstretched arm of James Forrest.

Odsonne Edouard does well to manufacture some room on the edge of the Hibs penalty area, with his shot on the turn taking a nick off a defender before Ofir Marciano gets down to smother it.

Martin Boyle looks like Hibs' best outlet, using his pace well to get forward. It also has the added bonus of blunting the attacking threat of Celtic left-back Keiran Tierney. Brandon Barker is not offering the same service on Hibs left flank though. He's doing most of his work helping out in defence.

    Hibernian 0-0 Celtic

Scott Sinclair is the next Celtic player to have a go but doesn't catch his shot from 22 yards cleanly and it bobbles well wide.

That's better from Hibs. A wonderful, long diagonal pass from John McGinn finds Martin Boyle, who takes it past Kieran Tierney with a nice touch off his chest. He drills a low shot towards the near post and Craig Gordon saves with his legs.

    Hibernian 0-0 Celtic

Celtic are really hogging the ball now, knocking it from one wing to the other, with Hibs falling deeper and deeper.

James Forrest weaves his way into the penalty box but is eventually crowded out by green and white shirts.

You just can't believe that James Forrest, in the form he is in, could miss that. To not even hit the target. Will that come back to bite Celtic?

What is Dylan McGeough thinking of?! The Hibs midfielder plays a shocker of a pass across his own 18 yard line - straight to James Forrest. The Celtic winger only has the keeper to beat but slides his shot inches wide.

A huge let-off for the hosts.

Referee John Beaton is upsetting both sets of fans with a few fussy decisions. That's three soft free-kicks in a row he's blown up for.

HIbs are pressing very high up the park and John McGinn is upended by Mikael Lustig near the penalty box after nicking the ball.

They fail to profit from the free kick though, with Brandon Barker dragging a terrible shot wide after a roll pass from Anthony Stokes.

Olivier Ntchan lets fly with a rocket shot from 20 yards and Hibs defender Paul Hanlon bravely sticks his head in the way. It knocks the Hibs defender off his feet but he's back up quickly, maybe seeing a few stars.

It's fast. It's frantic and it's end-to-end. Marvin Bartley puts in a brave block on the edge of the Hibs penalty box and then John McGinn does well to set up Brandon Barker for a gallop forward. The winger runs out of ideas in the final third and his hopeful shot cannons off a Celtic defender.

I was just waiting on Callum McGregor playing the ball into the middle. He was clean through but it was a magnificent tackle from Lewis Stevenson.
