You look at the big games Celtic have played over the last five weeks. Leigh Griffiths didn't start any of those games. He was struggling with being second choice behind Dembele. How will he react to being third choice? He is slipping out of the picture

Lots of hoods, snoods and gloves on as the warm-ups finish at a sunny but bitingly cold Easter Road. Not long to go now...

Hibs are in their traditional green and white home kit. I've lost count of how many away strips Celtic have...

  7. Celtic seek lift after limp Anderlecht losspublished at 12:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic suffered a couple of pummelings from Paris St-Germain in the Champions League but were able to bounce back without any trouble on returning to domestic matters.

On Tuesday, Brendan Rodgers' side confirmed their passage into the Europa League but it was a low-key celebration, given they lost at home to Anderlecht.

The 1-0 defeat was probably the most disappointing of their five losses in six matches.

  8. Rodgers looks to exploit Hibs' home weaknesspublished at 12:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, making his first competitive trip to Easter Road, tells BBC Scotland: "I came here for the derby game last season - a brilliant atmosphere. Easter Road has a lot of great history to it.

"They're a good side and Neil has them very well organised. They have good players, some who have been at Celtic that will want to show they are good players. It will be a tough game for us.

"We have to exploit the fact that the three games Hibs have lost this year have been at home. There's a reason for that and we need to pose them a lot of questions to exploit that.

"Young Odsonne has been terrific in the last couple of games he's played for us, and in training. I feel his mobility is very important for us.

"Odsonne is a big big talent and he's now starting to show that, so it puts pressure on them all if they are not performing. You want a competitive squad."

  9. 'The biggest test in Scottish football'published at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Radio Scotland: "It's the biggest test you can get in Scottish football. I expect it'll be high-octane. We need to be disciplined in defence and brave on the ball as well. We've done okay in the past two games and hopefully we can go one better. I'm looking for our wide players to cause them problems with their pace.

"We know where we are in this league, so this is not a marker for us. The game looks after itself. When you play against the champions, you raise your game."

The talking point among Celtic fans is that Edouard starts with both Griffiths and Dembele on the bench. Brendan Rodgers has not only created a talking point but given a message that there's real competition for places

  11. Goals, goals, goalspublished at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic have only conceded 10 domestic goals this season and Hibs have scored four of those.

John McGinn fired in two crackers as the Edinburgh side came from behind to lead at Celtic Park, only for Callum McGregor to match his brace in a hugely entertaining game.

The teams also met in the last four of the League Cup and Hibs didn't really get going until the second half in a 4-2 defeat.

So, Hibs should be confident of finding the net again today but can they tighten up at the back against the country's top scorers?

  12. Stokes out to sting former clubpublished at 12:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

One striker definitely facing his former side is Anthony Stokes. One of three ex-Celts in the home line-up, along with Efe Ambrose and Dylan McGeouch, the Irishman is in his third spell at Easter Road.

During his time at Celtic, he scored five times against Hibs and played a stormer in the 2013 Scottish Cup final.

He scored twice against Celtic in his first season at Easter Road, back in 2009-10.

The 29-year-old will be aiming to add to his nine goals this term and he does thrive on the bigger occasions.

It's been a while since Hibs beat Celtic; almost five years.

Who scored in a 1-0 victory at Easter Road on 29 December 2012?

Step forward Leigh Griffiths, who is sitting on the visitors' bench today. Will he get a chance to add to his 11 goals for the season?

  14. Happier times for Hibspublished at 12:00 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Hibs are in a good place at the moment. Back in the top flight after a three-year absence and ticking along very nicely in fourth spot.

Home crowds are averaging over 17,000 and Easter Road will be packed out again today.

The Hibees have only lost three of their 16 league outings but all of those reverses have come on their own patch.

This is also the start of a testing run against the top three, with Rangers visiting on Wednesday and a trip to Aberdeen next weekend.

John McGinn returns from suspension to take his place in the midfield engine room, with Vykintas Slivka making way.

Steven Whittaker is fit after missing last weekend's 1-0 win at Partick Thistle and he is included in the starting line-up, along with speedy winger Brandon Barker.

Striker Simon Murray and centre-half Darren McGregor drop out as manager Neil Lennon tinkers with the team shape.

  19. A welcome winter warmerpublished at 11:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Hibernian v Celtic (12:30)

Sixty-seven. A significant number for Celtic fans, who have this year been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the club's greatest triumph; when the 'Lisbon Lions' lifted the European Cup.

It's also the mark the champions have reached on their long unbeaten domestic run.

Next up to have a crack at stopping the league leaders is former captain and manager Neil Lennon.

His Hibs side have already given Celtic a scare this season, so it promises to be a sizzling contest. Just what we need on this bitterly cold day.
