Why didn't Brighton give Palace more tickets if they couldn't sell them?

Sako has got in there so easily. He's really then just got to have a bit of composure. I don't know why he's played it across goal. If he gets his head up he can find a man.

Best chance of the night! Brilliant from Bakary Sako as he skins his man and gets into the area, his cutback is cleared by Tim Krul and comes back to Andros Townsend, he chops onto his right foot and then has a shot deflected away.

    Should do better!

Great to see Pape Souare back from that horrendous car crash - and he is on in place of Jeff Schlupp.

The injuries are piling up for Roy Hodgson.

Both of them now - participants in that crunching challenge - have both done their knees by the looks of it.

    Too much football?

Jeff Schlupp, involved in that block which injured Izzy Brown, is not sitting down and getting some treatment while Andros Townsend also limps away from a tackle.

David Thackeray: I am all for video assistance and as an Arsenal supporter you will understand why, but do the FA realise that they are laughingstocks for introducing it for one tie only? I do hope that there are a few dodgy calls tonight.

David Gibbsy: Opponents of VAR is more than flow of game. It is second guessing the referee with the benefit of slow motion and what if the ref disagrees with the VAR decision? These complex rules are the problem. Not the refs

Believe or not March has actually got over the ball, he's jumped almost too high and he's only had one option then - to head the ball down.

A really good chance if he times his jump better.

It's all Brighton. Gatean Bong whips in a decent cross from the left, Solly March has a free header at the back post and it's easily tipped over by Wayne Hennessey. March headed it down into the turf.

    First sight of goal!

When Izzy Brown went down I don't think there was anybody around him, he went to change direction and his leg has given way. He really is struggling.

FIFA missed a trick here with VAR. I love football and I’m footy fan but I also enjoy the odd rugby and cricket. I love it when it goes to the third umpire or referee and for me it’s add to the excitement and waiting for a decision. It’s brilliant when it goes in your favour and there’s more of a banter. But the issue with the football VAR is that it’s going to be the same referee reviewing the decision instead a referee already reviewing the action which will take longer and slow it down to other sports. Also they should have added one challenge each half for each captain to double check a decision how they do in tennis. Challenge should only be for an action that lead to a goal, penalty or a booking/red card.

Not a fan of VAR at all. What are we going to talk about when referees stop getting decisions wrong? The weather?

I spoke too soon about Izzy Brown, he's down again and holding his knee. Maybe his ankle actually.

He's in agony here. Coming off.

Both players are back on their feet, just an impact injury I think. Anyway, here we go again. Brighton have seen all of the ball so far.

David Howell: Big problem with VAR - if my experience watching the NFL is any guide - is that there will be plenty of moments where the decision isn't actually that much clearer on replay... Will right some wrongs and create amazingly tense moments, though!

Warren Olson: Instance last night in an A-League game - great through ball and goal scored by Sydney FC, VAR shows a 1cm offside, disallowed.

It's going to take time for people to get used to it but I think the longer it goes on the more people will be equipped to deal with it and hopefully things won't take too long.
