The futures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi, Riyad Mahrez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Davy Klaasen and Fernando Llorente are all uncertain.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger questions the "confidence" of his side after an error from goalkeeper Petr Cech contributes to a 3-1 Premier League defeat at Swansea.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirms Virgil van Dijk was left out of the side today because of a "physical thing". He also concedes the relationship between Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren also played a part as Van Dijk gets used to the Liverpool system.

Looking ahead to the transfer window, Klopp brushed off any questions regarding Liverpool's potential activity, only saying: "No chance (Danny) Ings is on the market, only if I am unconscious".

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think no doubt the better side won today. We are not dreamers, if we want to get something from better sides, all the details need to go in your favour.

"We conceded an unlucky goal from 25 yards and before that we had the best chance in the game from Depoitre. It was a difficult night when all the details went against us."

Good news for Chelsea fans.

Chelsea have signed defender Emerson Palmieri from Serie A side Roma for a reported £17.6m., external

The Brazil-born 23-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League club. After playing 36 times for Roma last year he missed the first three months of this season with a knee injury which has limited him to two appearances.

"Today I am realising one of my dreams to pull on the shirt of such a great club," he said. "English football is something I have been watching since I was 15 years old. It is a really beautiful game over here."

Described as a versatile left-sided player, Palmieri joined Roma from Brazil side Santos in December 2016.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It was exactly what we needed. It was not a brilliant performance, but it was very mature and exactly what we needed at the right moment.

"We could have done better, but we scored the first goal, we maybe gave one situation away, but it was difficult for Huddersfield to counter-attack. It was very mature and exactly what we needed.

"You need to win all the time, we know that. Coming back on track is the most important thing and now we have a few days to prepare for another difficult game against Tottenham. There is an open bill and we need to pay that back.

"Tonight we were better and the midfield did well with the counter press and that helped the back line. It was nearly perfect, not the performance, the result."

Everton

Meanwhile at Everton...

Everton striker Sandro Ramirez has returned to Spain to join Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season.

Ramirez, 22, arrived in a £5.2m deal from Malaga last summer and scored one goal in 15 appearances for Everton. The club are not considering selling the former Spain Under-21 international at this stage.

Serie A leaders Napoli have also opened talks over a loan deal for Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen.

The 24-year-old Netherlands international has struggled since his £24m move to Everton last summer and has not played under Allardyce since the Europa League dead rubber against Apollon Limassol in December.

West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to Match of the Day: "I was pleased with a point because of the amount of key players we had.

"Crystal Palace have probably been the form team outside the top six. Every club has injuries, it's a chance for other players to show what they can do.

"Joao Mario settled in really quickly, which is always a worry when you bring a player in from abroad. He looks as if he is quite good at all the things.

"He handled the ball well and we needed him, he was important to us."

On West Ham's transfer business: "With the injuries we have picked up, it's meant our numbers are short and we are trying to do something about it.

"You want to bring players in who are going to make a difference - Joao Mario was on of those who has made a difference.

"I couldn't say I am confident, but we are working around the clock."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on BT Sport: "We had to keep the ball and score at the right moments. Overall it was absolutely deserved.

"When Huddersfield are 1-0 down they don't change the approach so it doesn't change the job. I don't think we have them a lot of opportunities."

On Emre Can's future: "Sometimes you want to keep a player and sometimes you want to sell a player. As long as people behave like Emre is and delivers, that's all you want. If he goes we shake hands and say goodbye and if he stays we shake hands and say hello again."

Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "I felt defensively we were very poor and made big mistakes. It's better not to talk about the second or third goals.

"Swansea were sharp, disciplined and hungry. Unfortunately I believe we were not good enough, I believe we were not disciplined enough.

"I don't want to talk about second or third goals."

On the possibility of Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining Arsenal: "We will know more about that tomorrow morning."

Has Olivier Giroud played his last game for the Gunners? "It's a possibility."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to Match of the Day: "At half-time 1-1 was probably fair, we probably hadn't done enough to deserve that lead.

"We looked dangerous in the second half and threatening but never led to clear-cut goalscoring chances.

Away from home, playing a team that's having a good spell, I am happy with that.

"The negative is it looks like we might have lost another player in Bakary Sako. His ankle injury might be serious, that will be a massive blow."

On Palace's transfer business: "The chairman and sporting director Dougie Freedman are working, certainly haven't left the phone and haven't stopped trying to improve our squad as they realise it's something we have to do.

"There are always players out there - but are they players who are going to improve you and help you win games? Those players are much harder to find."

Swansea City

Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal: "We are very happy. To win against Arsenal after beating Liverpool...I'm more than proud of my players.

"We created more chances than them. My players did fantastic work. I told them we are ready to do something different. I said after Watford we are not dead, we are breathing.

"We have a chance (of staying up). We are not in intensive care. We are not far away from the doctor saying we can go home."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Christian Benteke talking to Sky Sports: "The first half we didn't play that good, but managed to score first.

"The second half we tried to have more composure, but couldn't find the ball in the box.

"I always had the feeling I was close to scoring, but the main thing was getting points and that's what we've done in the past few weeks.

"On Sunday, it's another big game against Newcastle."

And this is how the results affect the Premier League. Liverpool needed one more goal to move above Chelsea, while West Ham and Crystal Palace have both moved themselves up one place each.

But it is a great sight for Swansea fans, as they are no longer bottom, and no longer in the bottom three. Stoke, Southampton and West Brom are the teams in the dreaded relegation zone now.

William Banham: If Arsenal finished 17th in the league, we would still have to suffer Wenger next season, doesn't matter if half of the country wanted him fired. I stopped watching and caring three years ago to keep my sanity.

Nick Sampson: Wenger should go but the root problem at Arsenal is Kroenke. With him in charge we are destined to a life of mediocrity. Fellow Gooners it's time to get used to it.

Richard Browne: Sanchez left because Wenger stayed. Ozil will do the same. The Arsenal board sanctioned their departure by giving Wenger a new deal.
