Not a good time to make a mistake like that, with one day of the transfer window left.

    Jordan Ayew

A disaster for Petr Cech. An absolute disaster.

Shkodran Mustafi rolls the ball back to Cech and there is absolutely no danger for Cech, but he slices his attempted clearance. It is an absolute gift for Jordan Ayew, who collects the gift-wrapped present and sticks it past the goalkeeper and into the net.

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Liverpool

Huddersfield get things back under way at the John Smith's Stadium. They are 2-0 behind and will be talking about this one for a long, long time if they can turn this one around.

  4. SUBSTITUTION - Mkhitaryan on for Arsenalpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2018

    Swansea City 1-1 Arsenal

Nathan Dyer uses his pace to get past Nacho Monreal but the low cross, fizzed across the greasy surface, is gathered safely by a diving Petr Cech.

At the other end, Mesut Ozil tested Lukasz Fabianski.

And now it is time for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He moved in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez and finally gets on the pitch after surprisingly starting on the bench. Mohamed Elneny jogs off and Mkhitaryan gets some good applause from the Arsenal faithful.

Imagine the reaction if Karius had conceded a goal like Liverpool's second. He'd be lynched!

Bayo Omisore: Good goal from Firmino. How did he manage to find the space? Proper needle and thread.

Johnny Magrinho: What a ridiculous goal from Firmino. Makes me laugh how people say the guy can’t finish/doesn’t score enough goals. If Aguero did that everyone would be waxing lyrical. How many goals for Bobby now this season?

    West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Patrick van Aanholt opts to try his luck with a free-kick 30 yards out for Crystal Palace. He shouldn't have bothered. No pace, no real direction and it is the easiest of catches for Adrian in the West Ham goal.

A bright start to the second half for Arsenal, who win a corner. Granit Xhaka takes it from the left, before Leroy Fer launches it upfield and to safety.

Liverpool may well be two goals up, but there is not much love for Sadio Mane...

Johnny Magrinho: Mane is atrocious. What’s happened to him? He’s nothing like the player he was last season. He can’t string a pass together, constantly offside and now he’s making stupid tackles in dangerous areas. Amazed he’s been given the start today. Becoming a liability.

Ash Williams: What the hell has happened to Mane? He’s totally out of form recently.

    Huddersfield 0-2 Liverpool

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It is a fantastic piece of skill from Roberto Firmino. Firmino took the ball inside and behind the back four and he got to the byline and we thought we was looking for someone to pick out but he squeezed the ball between the goalkeeper and the post and in off the post from an acute angle. It is incredible skill to do that from the position he was in.

Liverpool were in total command in the first half.

Liverpool double their lead. Clever from Roberto Firmino who races free and close to the byeline manages to squeeze the ball past Jonas Lossl at his near post.

The goalkeeper thought the Brazilian was going to cross it, Firmino doesn't and leaves Lossl a bit embarrassed and Liverpool two up. Game over?

It is better from Huddersfield with an encouraging couple of attacks they have had. The crowd are behind them, they are winning the second ball and causing Liverpool problems.
