We'll have just one minute of time added on.

The home fans are now starting to get a bit tetchy about where Korey Smith is trying to take a throw-in from.

Yeah, it's been that kind of half.

    Bolton 0-0 Bristol City

The Robins are ending this first half like they started it - very much on top.

Again they get numbers forward in a flash and create a four-on-three situation, but Dorian Dervite recovers well to clear behind for a corner, which Bolton deal with.

Not Jamie Paterson, apparently. It's straight into the wall and Bolton hack it clear.

The Robins come back again soon enough, however, and Bobby Reid stabs an effort towards goal but can't direct it on target.

And after a long, long period of patient passing, Bristol City win a free-kick on the edge of the Bolton area.

Who's brought their shooting boots with them?...

    Bolton 0-0 Bristol City

Am I allowed to say this one's not really got going yet?

A couple of half-decent chances for either side, but neither goalkeeper has been seriously tested yet.

The visitors are back in possession and back on the attack.

But that's why Bolton are where they are in the table - two passes and suddenly Bristol City are two on one, with Bobby Reid and Famara Diedhiou streaking clear.

They don't quite make the best of it, however, as Reid's cross for Diedhiou just alludes his strike partner and goes behind.

  8. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Bristol City

    What a chance for Bolton!

A corner is swung in from the home side's left, which goalkeeper Luke Steele rushes out but fails to gather, leading to a mass scramble in the Bristol City penalty area - before Karl Henry eventually hooks an effort wide.

The home side have got a proper head of steam up now, with Mark Little and Sammy Ameobi again heavily involved down the right, but the Robins get it clear.

After an iffy start, Bolton are definitely asking all the questions at the moment.

    Bolton 0-0 Bristol City

Are set-pieces going to be Bolton's best route to goal tonight? Quite possibly.

Here's one for Sammy Ameobi, about 20 yards out and almost dead centre, but he can only curl it straight into the wall. It's a proper waste.

Now it's Bolton's turn to appeal for a penalty, with Sammy Ameobi's long throw perhaps bouncing up onto the arm of Marlon Pack.

Pack had no real chance of getting out of the way of it, either way, as the ball had flicked off Famara Diedhiou's head just before striking him.

But Josh Brownhill's effort - attempting the old Cristiano Ronaldo technique - is high and wide.

Lee Johnson's Bristol City have played some decent football in the opening quarter of an hour, but they've not created anything clear cut just yet.

They've got a free-kick now, though, about 35 yards from goal...

  14. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

That's a bit more like it from Bolton.

It's superb persistence from Sammy Ameobi, bundling his way through a couple of challenges and then curling an effort across goal and towards the top corner, but it drifts just wide.

That's the closest we've come to a goal.

  15. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Bolton 0-0 Bristol City

That's better from Bristol City, working the ball up to Bobby Reid more directly that time.

And what's happened here?! Ben Alnwick comes rushing out of the Bolton goal to meet Reid but can only clatter into City's top goalscorer - yet the referee gives a free-kick the other way.

The home side may have got away with one there, as it certainly looked more like a penalty to City than a free-kick to Wanderers.

For all of City's early possession, it's Bolton who create the first opening of the match.

Mark Little, against his former club, wins the ball off Joe Bryan and delivers an awkward-looking cross, which the visitors just about clear.

Bryan then goes straight through the back of Derik a few moments later and gets booked. Not a great 30 seconds for the left-back.

I mentioned the plethora of empty seats - barring the odd half-hearted chant, there's an almost echoy reserve-team feel to the opening couple of minutes.

Since kicking off, Bristol City - in red and white - have had almost all of the ball.

Before we do get under way, however, there'll be a minute's applause for the late Jimmy Armfield.

The former Bolton Wanderers manager died aged 82 on 22 January. His son Duncan is among those in the crowd.
