Then Mendez-Laing sends a header at goal which is a straightforward save.

Replays show his initial effort did strike James Meredith's arm, but it was from point blank range. No penalty.

Home supporters are in fine voice, roaring their side on.

Cardiff come forward and Junior Hoilett feeds the ball in to Joe Ralls on the edge of the area, but the midfielder miscues his effort.

The visitors recycle the ball and Hoilett centres again.

This time striker Gary Madine - who's had a quiet night so far - has a shot blocked by Shaun Hutchinson.

Cardiff left-back Joe Bennett had to be alert to get back and make a clearance from in front of Jed Wallace, as Lee Gregory gets to a loose ball and pulls it back from the byline.

Bennett was caught by the midfielder and needs a spot of treatment, but he'll be fine to continue.
