It's been some week at Oakwell.

Paul Heckingbottom left on Tuesday to take charge of rivals Leeds - and I think it's fair to say Barnsley didn't take it that well.

But after saying they were "shocked" and thoroughly disappointed" by the 40-year-old's decision - the focus switches back to the pitch today.

The Tykes, who will be led by caretaker boss Paul Harsley, are just a point above the Championship relegation zone and have won just once in their past 16 league games.

Coming up in around 15 minutes it's a battle between two struggling south Yorkshire sides as managerless Barnsley host Sheffield Wednesday.

Then at 12:30 GMT, out-of-form Sheffield United play Leeds United who are under the stewardship of ex-Tykes boss Paul Heckingbottom for the first time.

Not much at stake in the early kick-offs then?!

I'm not quite sure how it's gone so quickly, but we're now two-thirds of the way through this intriguing EFL season.

Today, there is another packed programme, starting with a couple of Yorkshire derbies.

    Tasty.
