So Brighton have a first win since before Christmas, while West Ham's fans will be deeply frustrated. It's fair to say their side weren't great.

West Ham have not had a decent effort on target since they equalised in the first half.

Some of the home fans are darting early. They want to get home for Saturday night chippy tea. Tradition round your way too?

Brighton are officially in second gear here, easing over the line.

Brighton almost add a fourth as Beram Kayal twists in the area and shoots against the legs of Adrian. The rebound is inviting for Solly March but he guides his shot over. The two substitutes looking to get on the scoresheet.

Signs held up in the away end criticise West Ham's board. There's frustration over the club's transfer activity it seems. They have packed little punch today that's for sure.

Jose Izquierdo tries to score another stunner from range but this time gets it wrong. This game is edging towards a slow finish now as Leonardo Ulloa heads wide.

West Ham have barely been in the Brighton half since the home side went 2-1 up. They get into that territory now but Joao Mario crosses high and with little threat, allowing Mat Ryan to gather easily.

Pascal Gross is in behind again with West Ham sleeping. He goes with the outside of his foot but Adrian gets a strong hand to it. Great save.

Brighton build an attack - again down the left. Eventually Pascal Gross has a dig from 18 yards but he pulls it a little wide. Good play by the home side again.

In comes a corner, Shane Duffy is interested... headed away by Pablo Zabaleta.

January signing Leonardo Ulloa gets a great reception as he replaces Glenn Murray for Brighton.

You can see from the average positions players have taken up below that Brighton (left) have been that bit more expansive. West Ham's shape with three at the back was a bit confused for me.

You can see that the home side have repeatedly pushed Gaetan Bong (3) up from full-back. He has contributed to some of those West Ham midfielders like Pablo Zabaleta (5) spending time towards the right flank.

There's not a lot coming from West Ham. Still much of the game is played in their own half but the play is fragmented at the moment. It's as if Brighton don't know whether to stick or twist.

Ezequiel Schelotto gallops down the right flank and teases a cross in beautifully which Pascal Gross heads over. A decent chance.

José Izquierdo gets on the ball 35 yards out. "Shoot" comes the cry from the home fans. He doesn't and elects to keep the ball. The home side have all the momentum here.

Michail Antonio comes on for Declan Rice. That will mean West Ham will do away with a back three.

Chris Hughton went a bit mad when that José Izquierdo strike hit the net. I'm talking two-handed fist pumps, the full repertoire.
