He's been outstanding has Glenn Murray. No way should a 34-year-old be getting the better of three central defenders regularly.

Glenn Murray gets the run on Aaron Cresswell and will get in behind. He lifts his head and looks to pick out José Izquierdo with a low cross but Angelo Ogbonna slides in on the penalty spot.

Lewis Dunk slides in to win a ball early but Javier Hernandez gets there before him. That results in the striker being hacked down.

The free-kick comes in and West Ham shout penalty as it hits the arm of Shane Duffy. The whistle has already gone for an infringement though.

Dunk was booked for his foul by the way.

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

West Ham look that bit more composed at the start of the second half. They work the ball across the field to the right flank and then try to come back the other way but Angelo Ogbonna forgets he's Angelo Ogbonna and not Paolo Maldini. His cross-field pass is about 20ft to high for its target and it's a throw.

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

    We are back on.

A point would be better for West Ham and could of course extend an unbeaten run in the league which goes back to 23 December.

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

Our friends at Opta tell us that Brighton versus West Ham is the 10,000th match played in Premier League history. In all fairness, it's not a bad advert for the league.

Anthony Knockaert looks key for me. He's at the heart of much of Brighton's good work and has completed 94% of his passes so far - the highest mark on the pitch.

Brighton had plenty of half chances early on but the possession in that opening period is evenly shared.

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

Here is a look at Gaetan Bong's touch map. He's playing at left-back for Brighton but by our maths, he has around three times as many touches in the opposition half than he does in his own.

That shows you how he's been bombing on. Over 60% of the Brighton play has gone down the left and surely West Ham need to take a look at that during the interval.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2018

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

A good half of football on the south coast.

West Ham were slow to start and looked a bit jaded so David Moyes would have given anything to be level at the break when his side fell behind to Glenn Murray's strike.

Javier Hernandez wound the clock back a little with his own fine finish and this looks like it will be fiercely contested after the break as a result.

Dale Stephens makes a key defensive header at the back post to concede a corner. In it comes, Shane Duffy heads away this time. Brighton will break... Anthony Knockaert... heavy touch and Pablo Zabaleta gets a foot in.

Here's a look back on that Javier Hernandez finish. West Ham could be ahead as Sam Byram ghosts in at the back post to meet an Aaron Cresswell cross but he heads over. That was another decent chance. They are finishing the half the better of the two sides after starting it appallingly.

They win a free-kick near the corner flag...

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

A brief lull all of a sudden as these sides settle after a frenetic opening.

Javier Hernandez ovehits a cross-field pass to give away a throw in and we are starting to see more of Joao Mario now as he's picking the ball up in pockets.

The Brazilian tries to get on the end off a cross but can't quite get enough on it to find the target.

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

Javier Hernandez just kicked the ball into his own face and now he needs treatment. That's football eh? Goalscorer one minute, chump the next.

  16. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Brighton 1-1 West Ham

Gaetan Bong has had more touches than anyone else on the pitch with 32. You can see his impact as the left back is getting up the pitch and much of the home sides play is down that flank.

Again he races forward to cross... the ball breaks back out of the area and Anthony Knockaert slams over from 25 yards.

A good game in progress, largely because of the likes of Bong showing plenty of energy.

    Javier Hernandez

Beautiful stuff by the little Mexican to restore parity and David Moyes is punching the air with both fists on the touchline.

Javier Hernandez gets the ball 35 yards out, plays a pass to his left but continues his run. As the ball is fizzed into Joao Mario, he's able to flick the ball back into the path of Hernandez. From there the striker shapes to shoot but opens up space as he runs across the area from left to right. Eventually he lets rip and the ball is in off the underside of the bar.

Good movement, good passing, good finish.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2018

    Brighton 1-0 West Ham

Brighton swarm forward, brought to life by the fact that suddenly West Ham look interested.

The ball is played left in the area to the overlapping Gaetan Bong and he cuts it back for Anthony Knockaert. His first time shot is blocked by the left arm of Angelo Ogbonna.

It was point blank but Ogbonna's hand was raised. Seen them given many times.

  20. CLOSE!published at 25 mins

    Brighton 1-0 West Ham

Off the line (well, kind of).

A fine cross from the left and Sam Byram gets in at the back post to head down. It has Mat Ryan diving in goal but Shane Duffy blocks it a yard out from goal before the keeper is required.

That's a good chance and by far the closest West Ham have come.
