  1. 'Miller was a great, great lad'published at 12:17 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Football Focus

Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Kevin Kilbane speaking of Liam Miller on Football Focus: When we got word he was suffering with cancer a few months ago, it was devastating news, for anyone that played with him. And of course when the news filtered through last night it was terribly sad news, and especially when you think of his wife and three children.

Playing alongside him you saw his amazing ability as a player, but also he was a great, great lad. When he first came into the Republic of Ireland set up he was very unassuming, and very quiet, he just got on with it, there was no airs and graces about him. Today, our thoughts just go out to his wife and family.

I'm sorry but Spurs aren’t progressing. They’re three places below where they finished last season and 20 points behind the league leaders and will without doubt finish with a lower points tally than last year...

    Tottenham v Arsenal (12:30 GMT)

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Football Focus

Mauricio Pochettino has instilled a great, great team spirit in that Tottenham team, and when you look at their first XI, they're right up there with the best in the Premier League - it's just they seem to lack a bit of squad depth. With Toby Alderweireld coming back from injury to partner Jan Vertonghen, they're only going to go from strength to strength.

Tottenham's PA announcer getting Spurs and Arsenal fans in the mood with a very loud blast of Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Something from the soundtrack of "Frozen" might be appropriate given the temperatures here at Wembley.

This is a North London derby with all the ingredients - two teams committed to attacking football who both need the victory.

Craig: I agree with Lee Dixon. Arsenal can score great goals and win through offence. But defensively Arsenal are a mess with an awful mentality, especially when under pressure. Why I can't see anything but a Spurs win today.

Ali: I am a Spurs fan, but I really love to see Jack Wilshere play. Hoping for a cracking game and a Spurs win!

Everton v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

Usually Sam Allardyce teams are well drilled in keeping clean sheets but Everton crumbled against Arsenal. It's worrying times. Normally he has his teams hard to play against.

He got them stable and got them winning, and then changed it again. When you have the quality they have, you've got to use them. But for some reason he doesn't want to.

  13. 'The Big Sam stigma?'published at 11:53 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

Everton v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder on 5 live

Everton are not the first club to get it wrong in terms of going and spending to bring in too much all at once. The Sam Allardyce situation was an odd one in terms of it felt like a panic to me - he wasn't their first choice. He was always up against it.

His career and the way he managed team does come with a stigma. I am just a bit worried that, is this one of the better teams he has managed? In terms of the type of players? Are they prepared to do what he wants in terms of get clean sheets first then create?

  15. 'I don't know what has happened'published at 11:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

Everton v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

    Duncan Watmore
Sunderland forward on BBC Radio 5 live

When Sam Allardyce came in at Sunderland he said the first step was to get a clean sheet. That was what he instilled in us. It is a surprise to see Everton like they are under him.

He was so successful with us, getting clean sheets. Everyone bought into it. I don't know what the solution is and I don't know why it isn't working.

He would change for the opposition - we knew what we were doing all week. I loved playing under him. He's a very adaptable manager and more forward-looking than people give him credit for.

JS:To Sid, I didn't say that trophies weren't important. What I was saying was that to win a cup with the likes of Manchester City etc. you'll need a lot of luck. FA Cups won't keep players - we saw that with Alexis Sanchez. You need CL football.

Anon: Give the FA Cup Winners a Champions League place and then we'll see how important silverware is!
