Bayo: Alexis Sanchez is such a beast! Just keeps running non-stop. But how he didn’t score just now beats me.
Alex: Man Utd have had enough chances to be 3 or 4 up here. Can't blame Mourinho for this. Just very poor finishing.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
He does not have Islam Slimani available on the bench today. Jacob Murphy or Joselu?

Anon: As a Man Utd fan it pains me to say that City are superior in all but one area (De Gea). What upsets me more than anything is that we've completely lost that fear factor. Teams don't want to play City, they really don't mind playing us!
Paul: How is Belgium's answer to Emile Heskey playing?

Blatant push in the build-up for that disallowed goal. Lukaku gets static and has to use his hands to buy some space.
This has got the makings of a great second half
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United really pushing hard now. They get a break in midfield, Antonio Valencia frees Alexis Sanchez, who skips around Martin Dubravka. He has to take a touch to settle himself and that allows Florian Lejeune to get across and make the block!
Brilliant defending.
Southampton v Liverpool (16:30 GMT)
Jordan Henderson is left out of the Liverpool squad as Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all start against their old club.
Full team news to come.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
Ah that's brilliant! Alexis Sanchez has barely been involved but suddenly he's breaking into the area at pace, wriggling in between a few challenges when there appeared to be zero space. He gets through the gap though, and then sees his toe-poke hit the side-netting.
Almost a superb solo goal.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United have the ball in the net - ruled out! Chris Smalling climbs at the back post to head across goal and Romelu Lukaku heads in.
Both men were using their arms, but both challenges were fairly soft.

Anon: The top players are being completely wasted thanks to Mourinho. Poor Luke Shaw must be wondering why a 48 year old is starting ahead of him. Awful team lucky to be second.
Richard: Am I watching the same game as everyone else? Man Utd have been mostly good. We've created a few chances and limited Newcastle to shots from range. People expecting us to walk over teams every week haven't been watching for the last 3 years.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
This is opening up. Manchester United have a three on three break which Mo Diame shuts down, before Newcastle come down the other end and Ayoze Perez's cross is just in front of Jonjo Shelvey.
The first goal could well be key in this game.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
5 live pundit Chris Waddle is always adamant that he wants Jonjo Shelvey in the England team. It's not a view shared by many but this is why, he looks up and plays a scalpel sharp pass through the Manchester United defence and into the run of Matt Ritchie.
He goes down in the area but the offside flag was up. Again, that was very close.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
No changes for either side. Ashley Young gets away down the left and puts in a good cross, Anthony Martial takes a touch and for a second it looks like the sort of touch which will induce a challenge and a penalty - but the Magpies defence stand up well and block him away.
The visitors have started strongly.
Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd
And away we go!

As a United fan for over 40 years, much as it pains me to say it if this side is the second best in the Premier League, it's a shocking indictment on those below us in the table. Totally lacking in any consistency, and so little quality given the money spent. .

Tom: Penalty gods against Newcastle just lately. Joselu's miss, decision v Crystal Palace last week and now Dwight Gayle today.
Richie: Where is VAR when we really need it? And how was that not a foul? The ref has bottled it completely.
Southampton v Liverpool (16:30 GMT)
Liverpool have given us some fantastic Sunday afternoon entertainment in recent weeks with dramatic finishes in their games against Manchester City and Tottenham and now they come to a ground where they haven’t managed to win on their last three visits.
Their team will contain some of Southampton’s star players in recent years but surely the hottest reception will be saved for Virgil van Dijk after his January switch to Anfield. On the other hand Southampton’s manager Mauricio Pellegrino is a former Liverpool player and his task is to try and find a way to stop the Premier League’s highest scorers on the road.
There’s full commentary on BBC radio this afternoon - it starts on 5 live Sports Extra and moves on to 5 live after the rugby’s finished at Murrayfield.
Mark Schwarzer is on 5 live.

The more replays you see, the harder it is to explain why Newcastle did not get a penalty in that first half.

Newcastle have played well, almost a 4-4-2 they’re playing with Ayoze Perez pushing up to play with Dwight Gayle and press in the opposition half.
But we’ve seen signs of quality from Man United, great link-up between the front four and Paul Pogba is starting to exert his influence. You sense Man United have another gear to find, not sure if Newcastle have that.
