Alexsander: Honestly this has been the most exciting deadline day in the January window since 2011. And there are still 4 and a half hours to go.

Rupert: Any news on another signing for Arsenal (greedy, but would love a defender!).

Frode: Being a Liverpool supporter on transfer deadline day is about as exciting as watching the face of someone having a bowel movement. Awkward, pointless and disturbing but you still can't look away.

Ah, the many emotions of Transfer Deadline Day...

  11. 'A new striker?'published at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    Chelsea

What's this? A new striker? In pure footballing terms, you'd have to think Arsenal will be the happiest in the Great Dortmund-Chelsea-Arsenal Striker Swap.

That said, £18m for Olivier Giroud looks like a bit of a steal. The burning question is whether he is someone Conte actually wanted in the first place. The optimist in me tells me he'll suit Chelsea's style much better than Arsenal's, which means we might actually see him get some meaningful minutes in the League and Champions League.

The pessimist in me wonders if letting Batshuayi go just as he was building some confidence could come back to haunt us. But who knows? Maybe we'll grab Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo in the next couple of hours...

  12. King move could end Swans' interest in Markovicpublished at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    Dafydd Pritchard
    BBC Sport Wales

Swansea City's loan move for Leicester midfielder Andy King appears to be gathering pace.

If that deal does go through, it would end the Swans' hopes of signing Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic on loan.

Premier League clubs are only allowed to have two players on loan from other Premier League clubs at the same time, and striker Tammy Abraham is currently on loan at Swansea from Chelsea.

We've had a few new entries into the chant chart...

But c'mon, you know the score - leave us your name!

Re Arsenal signings and chants. I think Pierre-Emerick would suit the old Muppets tune... Aubameyang do do d’do do, Aubameyang do do-do do... repeat until bored.

    Anon.

Swansea doing good work on the chant-potential transfers front: "Twoooooooooo Ayews - ooh ooh, ooh ooh!" To the tune of The Who's 'Who Are You'.

  20. Ndiaye on verge of Stoke movepublished at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    John Bennett
    BBC Radio 5 live

Senegal international Badou Ndiaye is expecting his move to Stoke City from Galatasaray to be confirmed before tonight’s game against Watford.

The midfielder is now on his way back to England after a quick trip to Paris this afternoon. He needed to leave the UK today and then re-enter the country to complete his work permit paperwork after arriving yesterday on a temporary visa. There were concerns that work permit issues could stop the deal.

His representatives are confident that everything is in place but there’s no confirmation from the club. As reported yesterday, the fee would be £15m.
