For his hard work, for his creativity, for his bad luck, boy does Firmino deserve that goal. Been absolutely splendid. James Milner, who I could talk about day is running away from defenders on the left, quicker than everyone. Which shows you what they’re up against.

Neymar runs from halfway and Dani Alves makes a great run on the right. Neymar needs to hit it further forward into the run of Alves, but makes his team-mate work too much to control the ball and chance is gone.

I know that if you compare the kind of money and finances the Liverpool and Porto have it’s night and day, there’s no comparison, but even so I expected more of Porto tonight. There aren’t many who could get a game in the Liverpool side.

Thomas: Do European players not get booked for diving. Toni Kroos and Neymar have both blatantly dived in this game and the ref has turned a blind eye to it. How can you stamp out simulation if you don't punish it?

Fred: The amount of diving in the Madrid game is astonishing. I'd love to see a no-nonsense ref take control although every player would get two yellows.
