  3. No Cup hangover for Wiganpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    League One latest

If they can beat Premier League leaders Manchester City in the FA Cup, you wouldn't think Rochdale would pose too many problems for Wigan.

It's all going to plan for the Latics so far, Michael Jacobs giving Paul Cook's side an early lead.

    Now this a big one.

Chris Coleman named two teenagers in attack and one of them repays his faith.

Joel Asoro shows his reactions are pretty nifty, poking home to send the Stadium of Light into raptures.

Maybe this kind of moment will tempt someone to buy the club?

    Birmingham 0-0 Barnsley

Neither of these teams are scoring many goals and both are struggling for any kind of result.

The visitors have the first efforts, with the returning Zeki Fryers skying a shot from 25 yards.

    Speculative at best...

'Here we go again' - what Reading boss Jaap Stam must've been thinking as Lee Tomlin scored an 85th-minute leveller on Tuesday to deny his side three points at Nottingham Forest.

The Royals have lost their past four league games at the Madjeski and today's opponents Derby are unbeaten on their past five visits to Berkshire.

Stam will no doubt be grateful that football isn't played on paper...

  16. Boro suffer Gestede blow after bracepublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Sunderland v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

You score your first brace for the club and then suffer a season-ending injury - the timing for Middlesbrough striker Rudy Gestede has been cruel.

The 29-year-old was the catalyst behind Boro's 3-1 midweek win over Hull but a fractured ankle means he'll sit out their final 13 games.

"It's a massive blow for us. Out of all of the strikers, he's looked the most likely to score,"boss Tony Pulis said.

They'll be relying on Patrick Bamford and Britt Assombalonga to step up at Sunderland.

Sheff Wed v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)

They may still have 13 regular-season Championship games to play, but Aston Villa's 17 league wins already tops the mediocre 16 they managed in the whole of last season.

Steve Bruce's side spurned the chance to temporarily move into second on Tuesday, but an victory number 18 at goal-shy Sheffield Wednesday would put them a point behind Cardiff, who play on Sunday.

  18. Leeds put new crest on backburnerpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Leeds v Brentford (15:00 GMT)

"Awful", "shocking" and "horrendous" - three of the words used to mock Leeds' proposed new badge that we can actually use at this time of day.

Over 77,000 people signed a petition asking owner Andrea Radrizzani to stop the launch of the original design and they have their wish, kind of, as Leeds have delayed the launch until their centenary year in 2019-20.

BBC Radio Leeds reports the Championship club has received more than 1,200 ideas from supporters - plenty to keep the powers that be busy after their game with Brentford.

  20. Luton heading for League One?published at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    League Two fixtures

There doesn't seem to be too much teams can do to stop Luton's promotion charge this year, with the Hatters already eight points clear of fourth-placed Mansfield. Luton face 16th-placed Cheltenham today.

It could be tougher going for fellow promotion hopefuls Accrington, whose opponents Cambridge have won all three of their games since parting company with Shaun Derry earlier this month.

Elsewhere, play-off chasing Exeter travel to managerless Grimsby, who on Friday expressed interest in talking to former England centre-half Sol Campbell.
