    Millwall 1-0 Forest

The hosts have a chance but fail to make the most of a three-on-two break.

Lee Gregory spreads the ball out wide to Jed Wallace but the winger's cross comes to nothing.

  2. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Millwall 1-0 Forest

Millwall are really getting about Forest in these early stages. A few crunching challenges and they seem intent on not letting their opponents settle.

Forest have held their own since the goal though.

    Millwall 1-0 Forest

How will Forest recover from that?

Steve Hodge, who is the BBC Radio Nottingham summariser, says it's a horrific start by the Reds but they have the character to hit back.

Forest hadn't conceded a goal in the previous three matches.

Millwall, meanwhile, have scored in the first minute for the third time in four matches. They love a fast start!

    Shaun WiIlliams (1 min)

    I make that 27 seconds.

Forest hadn't even had a touch and Costel Pantilimon is picking the ball out of his net.

Ben Marshall does brilliantly out wide and his cross is headed in by Shaun Williams who had made a fine run from midfield.

There are two early kick-offs in League One today and we've already got a goal in the first of them.

Karl Robinson's Oxford have gone 1-0 down to Scunthorpe, who sacked manager Graham Alexander last Saturday. Ivan Toney slid in the opener from close range after the Oxford goalkeeper fumbled an angled shot.

Wigan are just about to kick off against north-west neighbours Oldham. Wigan are third in the table but will end the day top if they win and Shrewsbury fail to beat Rochdale.

Blackburn beat Bradford 2-0 on Thursday to reclaim top spot.

Milwall are chasing a seventh win in eight games and are unsurprisingly unchanged from the side that beat Barnsley last time out, so the wily Steve Morison partners Lee Gregory up front.

Nottingham Forest, who are seven games unbeaten, make four changes from the 0-0 draw with Sheffield United. The front four has a completely new look with Joe Lolley, Lee Tomlin, and Barrie McKay supporting Apostolos Vellios. Kieran Dowell and Daryl Murphy are injured and Matty Cash and Ben Brereton are on the bench.

Millwall: Archer, Meredith, Romeo, Cooper, Hutchinson, Wallace, Williams, Saville, Marshall, Gregory, Morison.

Subs: Martin, Shackell, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, Cahill, Onyedinma, O'Brien.

Forest: Pantilimon, Darikwa, Osborn, Fox, Figueiredo, Colback, Watson, Lolley, Tomlin, McKay, Vellios.

Subs: Kapino, Mancienne, Worrall, Cash, Guedioura, Bridcutt, Brereton.

  9. Millwall's promotion charge?published at 12:53 British Summer Time 30 March 2018

    Anyway, back to today's action...

Nottingham Forest's season is pretty much decided with a mid-table finish very much on the agenda. But there's a growing sense of belief around the City Ground and a steady improvement under Aitor Karanka.

While it's all about building for next season for the Reds, Millwall have been on an incredible 12-match unbeaten run and are only four points off the play-offs.

Needless to say that a win in the early kick-off today would be monumental for Neil Harris.

    Let's get the team news...

Five days and 70 EFL games

We've established it's Easter and that there's a feast of football. So it's basically F-Easter, is what we are saying.

Enough of that nonsense, but there's no disputing there's a heck of a lot of the beautiful game up to and including Tuesday.

There are the grand total of 70 EFL fixtures heading your way in the next five days. Cardiff boss Neil Warnock approves.

So let's not think too far ahead and spend time pondering the fact it could be snowing on Monday.

And if your team's double header begins with a demoralising defeat, console yourself by demolishing shed loads of chocolate and think positively about game two.

Of those 70 matches, 24 are in the Championship, starting with Millwall against Nottingham Forest...
