  4. '1-1 draw with Celtic going through'published at 17:03 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Zenit St Petersburg v Celtic (18:00)

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper in St Petersburg

"I think Zenit are under pressure. They got shocked by the way Celtic played against them and I don't think they expected Celtic to play as well.

"They were also coming, as we know, from their winter break and they looked a little bit sluggish.

"They will be better for it, there is no doubt, and I expect them to raise the tempo.

"Whether they are able to sustain it, I'm not terribly sure at this stage of their season.

"So Celtic must go into this with a lot of confidence.

"It was as good a performance as I have seen or witnessed in my time covering the European games with Celtic.

"If they can put in a performance similar to what they had at Celtic Park against a Zenit team struggling to find their form, they may get through tonight, which would be a wonderful result for them.

"I think it will be a 1-1 draw and Celtic will go through."

  5. Same approach?published at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Zenit St Petersburg v Celtic (18:00)

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland

Celtic start with the same line up that defeated Zenit last week, with Scott Sinclair again on the bench.

Will Brendan Rodgers attempt to play with the same aggression and attacking verve?

Maybe attack is the best form of defence as, if Celtic nick a goal, they will very much be in the driving seat.

It’s perhaps more likely the structure will be more solid, looking to counter quickly.

The longer the game stays goalless, the better for the visitors.

Zenit St Petersburg v Celtic (18:00)

It has been -21C in St Petersburg today according to our men on the spot, but inside the 56,000-capacity Krestovsky Stadium, it will be a toasty 15C because the roof has been closed.

The Celtic fans will be particularly thankful for that as their team look to put the Zenit attack into deep freeze.
