I’m sad the Baggies are going down, but at least they’re not going with a whimper! Pardew has got them playing much nicer football than Pulis that’s for sure, even if the results aren’t quite there.

The pre-match warm up has been completed at Stoke. Quick knees up into the chest, a few star jumps.

That's the shivering mascots huddled on the side of the pitch, not the players... And they're still all wearing beaming smiles.

Hope Swansea don't go down - only one of the struggling teams to show some flair with their replacement manager (rather than opting for a dinosaur...)

Teams to go down with West Brom should be those still to face most top six teams- Swansea & Stoke

    Stoke v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    Vicki Sparks
Match of the Day commentator at the bet365 Stadium

Gylfi Sigurdsson's absence is clearly a blow for Everton - their record signing had found form under Sam Allardyce, who admits his players need to change their mentality away from home.

Only West Bromwich Albion have a worse record on their travels in the Premier League this season.

How you view Stoke's form under Paul Lambert depends on whether you're a glass half-full or glass half-empty person - only two defeats in his seven games, but no win since his opening match in charge.

They've improved defensively. Now they must add goals at the other end if they're to stay up.

  13. 'Zaha as important to Palace as Messi to Barca'published at 14:25 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

Huddersfield v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

    Pat Nevin
    BBC Radio 5 live

Wilfried Zaha has as big as an affect on Crystal Palace as Lionel Messi does with Barcelona. Palace are seriously average without Zaha but decent with him. He gives them angles, drags players out of position.

Huddersfield's form may have dipped since Christmas but they're still very handily placed to prove many pundits wrong by surviving in the Premier League.

Four points clear of the relegation zone with just eight games to play is a position they would've settled for when the season kicked-off.

Four consecutive defeats have plunged Palace back into the relegation zone but their crippling injury list has improved, so Roy Hodgson will hope results do as well.

West Brom have taken eight points from a possible 48 under Alan Pardew

It's looking almost certain that West Bromwich Albion will be playing in the Championship next season.

The Baggies, eight points away from safety with just eight matches remaining, have actually taken fewer points per match on average since they brought in Alan Pardew to replace Tony Pulis.

While a fourth relegation from the Premier League is likely for West Brom, Bournemouth are aiming to secure a fourth season in the top division.

Three more victories would definitely keep the Cherries up, and they will be keen to make amends for the 1-0 defeat at the Hawthorns back on the opening day of the season.

Five players come in for Stoke today and this is what boss Paul Lambert had to say about making that many changes.

‘I've made the changes because of the amount of work we did without the ball on Monday," he said.

"Results have been decent for us and we haven't taken as many points as we perhaps deserved. We've got a big crowd in here today and we have to be on the front foot."
