  1. goal

GOAL - Barnsley 1-0 Norwichpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Oli McBurnie

He's just been called up to the Scotland squad and on this evidence it's understandable why.

Oli McBurnie guides home his sixth goal in eight games for Barnsley to give them a precious lead against Norwich.

  2. goal

GOAL: Brentford 1-2 Cardiff Citypublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Callum Paterson (45 mins)

What a time to score, what a smart finish by Callum Paterson after some persistence and trickery by Junior Hoilett.

Hoilett chased down two ambling Bees defenders as they looked to clear a ball played into their right full-back position and nicked possession...

He jinked his way to the box before cutting back for former Hearts man Paterson to coolly pick his spot from the edge of the box, smashing past Daniel Bentley to surely secure a half-time lead.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Brentford 1-1 Cardiff

Cracking dig by the lively Sergi Canos is beaten away by Neil Etheridge to deny Brentford a second. Was a savage hit, caught perfectly. Philippines international Etheridge equal to it.

Three added minutes at the end of this first-half at Griffin Park which has been a most beguiling encounter.

  4. goal

GOAL - Wolves 1-0 Readingpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Matt Doherty

    The leaders lead!

A deep Helder Costa centre is headed back across goal by Barry Douglas and Matt Doherty powerfully heads Wolves into the lead.

They're going 10 points clear of third-placed Aston Villa as it stands.

  5. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 0-2 Hull Citypublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Harry Wilson (39 mins)

The pressure has told for Hull City as they do get a second, with Harry Wilson the man on the spot for the Tigers.

Ola Aina whipped in a cross from the right to the back-stick where Wilson caught it sweetly to drill in on the volley and double the lead.

  6. ouch!

    Brentford 1-1 Cardiff

Bees in the wars at the moment as Cardiff come inches away from a second goal.

Nico Yennaris heads a Sean Morrison header away off the line as the Bluebirds swarmed the box and got a boot in the chops in return.

It's an important intervention though and keeps it level. Five to go to the break plus stoppages.

    Aston Villa 0-2 QPR

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce chose to go with the same XI that got through a huge amount of work in the 4-1 win over Wolves on Saturday.

Right now you'd have to say that looks like a major error as QPR lead by two and the hosts have not really had a chance of note.

For those interested Villa haven't come from two goals down to win a league game since January 2014.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Brentford 1-1 Cardiff

Daniel Bentley denies Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as he bears down on the Brentford goal and gets a whack for his troubles.

Was a cracking stop, after Cardiff carved open the opportunity thanks to a delicious slide-rule pass by Loic Damour that put Mendez-Laing away.

Save matched the build-up. Bentley's up. We're good to continue.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Ipswich 0-1 Hull

Hull continuing to cause Ipswich problems after the Markus Henriksen goal and they came very close to a second after Jarrod Bowen cracked the post after a driving run.

    Their night so far.

    Brentford 1-1 Cardiff

Not a lot has changed in terms of the flow of this game yet.

Both teams look a threat, Brentford still fizzing the ball about nicely and playing out from the back, Cardiff looking to probe in wide areas.

It's been an enjoyable half hour or so as it stands.

  11. goal

GOAL - Aston Villa 0-2 QPRpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Jake Bidwell

Could this be the end of Aston Villa's automatic promotion hopes?

Jake Bidwell thumps home a low 20-yard effort after the hosts fail to properly clear.

  12. goal

GOAL: Sheffield United 1-0 Burton Albionpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Enda Stevens (28 mins)

After a string of chances, the Blades make the breakthrough against the Brewers, and it's Enda Stevens who nabbed it.

George Baldock the provider down the opposite side, slipping in a low cross for the former Villa wing-back to tuck home.

    Wolves 0-0 Reading

The hosts are forced into an early change as Ivan Cavaleiro comes on for the injured Diogo Jota.

  14. goal

GOAL: Brentford 1-1 Cardiffpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Sol Bamba (24 mins)

Utterly magnificent. Sol Bamba might well be an uncompromising centre-half but there's clearly a subtlety to his play as he takes down a loose clearance inside the box with his back to goal, and nails a perfect sweeping volley into the left corner.

    Stunning. Rasper.

It came after the Bluebirds had come close from some superb work down the left by Kenneth Zohore, clipping in a cross that Junior Hoilett fired toward goal but was saved by Daniel Bentley. He had no chance with Samba's effort after the corner. Wowee.

    Brentford 1-0 Cardiff

Clumsy challenge by Cardiff 'stopper' Bruno Ecuele Manga on Sergi Canos - who responded by throwing himself down 'Platoon-style'.

The free-kick produced little more than a couple of wild swipes from Yoann Barbet that ended up flying high over the top.

Subseqently, the Bees are starting to click in attack, their front three rotating to cause havoc. Another lovely move of one-touch passing ends with top scorer Ollie Watkins flashing one over the top. Dangerous.

    Wolves 0-0 Reading

Wolves go close to breaking the deadlock.

Helder Costa dances through the visiting defence but his low effort is brilliantly saved by Royals goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola.

  17. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 0-1 Hull Citypublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Markus Henriksen (18 mins)

Hull City haven't had too much to cheer in recent weeks but they'll be lapping this one up down in Suffolk...

It's all thanks to a deflected low strike from range by Norwegian midfielder Markus Henriksen that squirms beyond Bartosz Bialkowski.

  18. Villa had been warnedpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Aston Villa 0-1 QPR

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

"Villa had already had a warning of the dangers QPR might provide when Matt Smith's low left foot shot needed a finger tip save from Sam Johnstone in the very first minute

"But when Jake Bidwell swung in a teasing left-wing cross, Ryan Manning got there first to steer his deft header into the bottom right corner.

"This will perhaps be a truer test of whether this Villa side really do have what it takes."

  19. Postpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Brentford 1-0 Cardiff

Just over the quarter of an hour mark and while Brentford might be the team renowned for the aesthetic majesty of their play, but Cardiff are stroking the ball around equally nicely in their attempt to draw level.

Another teasing ball in the box finds Kenneth Zohore but he's well marshalled and Daniel Bentley comes out to gather the bobbling ball.

Does he prefer Kenneth or the more colloquial Ken or even Kenny? Let us know at #bbcefl

Tackles just starting to fly in too as the two sides settle down and find their groove.

  20. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

    Wolves 0-0 Reading

As it currently stands a Wolves goal would see them extend their lead over third-placed Aston Villa to 10 points.

They've been on top at Molineux so far but no major action to report.
