Danny Welbeck breaks from deep and he falls over as he shoots. Was he fouled or did he kick the ground? Who knows? Who cares? It's almost over.

Gennaro Gattuso looks angry. I'm glad I'm not a Milan player right now. Except for the money, prestige and chance to play football for a job.

That's three full-time whistles sounding elsewhere in Europe, who are all a little ahead of the action in the San Siro.

This game sort of reminds me of Sevilla v Manchester United (bar the scoreline) - AC Milan have had lots of shots, but most of them haven't been very good. It's not too difficult to shoot wide from 25 yards.

Javel Bleach: Arsenal are probably as good now as they were when they were winning the Premier League, except that the others above them have got better still.

Going to be pretty exciting to not be the only Arsenal fan wanting Wenger to sign another contract...come on you Gooners...

    Andi, Harrogate

Arsene deserves a lot more respect for all he has done for Arsenal - an amazing manager for 20 plus years - but that doesn’t make headlines - the team needs support not endless moaning.

Arsene Wenger is chatting to Jack Wilshere and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as Callum Chambers gets some treatment.

Chambers can't play on and here comes midfielder Mohamed Elneny - who will slot into defence.

Good goalkeeping by David Ospina keeps Milan out. Andre Silva plays a good through ball to Nikola Kalinic - and the keeper comes flying off his line to slide the ball away from the rapidly advancing Kalinic with his feet.

He's still only had one save to make.

Michael West: I think if Arsenal/Wenger won this competition it could be classed as a pretty successful season. Silverware, Champions League football next season, Domestic cup final and sorting the futures of Sanchez & Ozil. While bringing in top quality players in the process.

Fred Honsa: What is happening? Is this really Arsenal winning a game or Milan doing an Arsenal?

Prash: Arsenal 'fans' trying their best to say clever things while sniping at Wenger... but then again it is the era where fans from Leicester hounded their league winning manager in the blink of an eye.

Arsenal have dealt pretty comfortably with everything that Milan have thrown at them in this second half and in all honesty that hasn't been much.

David Ospina hasn't had a shot to save and Giacomo Bonaventura should have done better with his first-time effort early in the half that he smashed over the bar.

The Milan fans seem to have had their passion doused as well, only saving their noisiest for when they feel Arsenal are time-wasting at the restarts.

Arsenal won 2-0 here in the Champions League in 2008 and at the moment they're on course to repeat that feat - and at a time when their manager needs it most.

I get the feeling Welbeck's just too nice to be a good striker. He's a good technical player but there's no ruthless streak.

Arsenal fans are exhausting ... one season so far without Champions League football, 2-0 up against Milan in the San Siro, how many FA Cup wins in recent seasons? And already have played in a final this season ... please stop complaining and support your team !

    David, Belfast

To all Arsenal fans who think they can influence the board and management with their moaning and ‘analysis’. You can’t. Suck it up, chant your lungs out whatever the weather and get behind the team.

Amrul Choudhury: Arsene Wenger will stay on because of this result. I can sense horror on the faces of Arsenal supporters.

Vic Van Den Bergh: We all know Wenger’s reign is coming to its close, so why not stop the whining and concentrate on the team who are winning? Remember Rioch and be thankful for the Wenger years!!

Timothy Wareham: Now I see it. Wenger’s master plan. Fly under (even off...) the radar. Then pop up and win the Europa League to qualify for Champions League 2018-2019. Win that. Drop the mic. Retire. He’s a true genius.

Milan are definitely edging this second half but with no real precision. Arsenal don't look under that much threat - although they're not doing loads going forward themselves. This scoreline of course hugely suits them. No point risking it all to go for a third surely.
