The turnstiles at Etihad Stadium opened not long ago and there are a few fans filtering in.

The home supporters will be holding aloft a mosaic which reads "WE ARE CITY" before kick-off.

That must have taken aaaages to think of.

It’s ridiculous. Manchester City can secure the title by winning at home to their rivals. Will they ever get this chance again to win the league by beating Manchester United?

I can’t help but think Pep Guardiola has to play his strongest team. The pressure of the situation forces him to do that.

It is derby day in Manchester and what a significant one we have in store.

Pep Guardiola's superb City side have lost just once in the league all season and have a golden opportunity to claim the title against United in record fashion.

Three points today and it is job done as Spaniard Guardiola will follow in the footsteps of predecessors Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini in delivering the top-flight trophy.

Jose Mourinho's troops, though, can delay the inevitable by avoiding defeat. Will the Portuguese park the bus or surprise us all with an all-action attacking display?

Manchester United have had to watch their rivals celebrate the title in front of them and today could be the most painful viewing yet...

...at the home of rivals Manchester City.

It's in their hands, they can feel it, but can they complete the job?
